Which is more beneficial?
a) Walking on a 5-10 interval incline
b) Running on no incline
Same amount of time.

I walk 4 miles at 4 mph (measured) most days and MFP awards me about 400 points.
When I walk 4mph on Nordic track with built in HRM it says I am burning--for my weight FIVE HUNDRED calories.
Shall I split the difference?---I sure like the idea of eating a little more---:ohwell:

I think both are beneficial.
What is the mph your walking on the treadmill for a 5 -10 interval incline?
Have you tried walk/run intervals, or HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) sessions? I've just started doing the HIIT sessions and boy for 30 minutes it's a great workout but very intense training. It benefits your endurance and cardiovascular system and you burn fat faster (as I've read).. You can "Google" it to get more information on it.
Hope this helps.0 -

cool down at 3.5 for 5 mins
TOTAL CALS BURNED: 286 cals
Walking workout:

cooldown at 3.5, zero incline for 5 mins
TOTAL CALS BURNED: 288.6 cals

I got this from an article
HIIT Training for Treadmill
5-10 minute warm-up
Do five 20-30sec intervals of sprinting (maximum effort)
recovery time anywhere from 30secs or more
Cool down

the treadmill program I am using now is just about all 4 mph at zero incline--then 6 (?90 second bursts) to 4.5mph --I sure sweat a lot more than my non-treadmill walk. Toal time is 40 minutesccc
