I know this is nothing new, but I see this ad all the time on another website I visit...look at her arm!! Not a good look :noway:0 -
That looks almost to the point of sickness....like physcially sick. I wouldn't want to look like that, even if I could. She has no muscles!0

It makes me feel sad that girls would do that to themselves for the sake of 'beauty' and the unhealthy really does sell.0

Here is what I find interesting. Every guy I know and work, or hang around with, would not find that attractive. So I am not sure how that look became known as sexy. Every guy I know likes "a little shape" to their women. Oh and research done at the Univ of Texas....(God I love my school. LOL) indicates that the vast majority of guys are more interested in waist to hip ratio than anything. I just have to wonder who funded that research study. LOL0

I agree, she looks way too thin, but I can also tell that her arm has been digitally slimmed in that shot. your bicep is not smaller than the part of your arm below it, even really skinny girls have arms that follow human physiology: the bicep is the widest point on the upper arm.
my lil sis does some modeling, and she always photoshops her pics, I always tell her that she looks better in the "before" photoshopping shots. She never believes me. :noway:0 -
While I agree that many models are waaay too skinny and that it shouldn't be that way, I think the image looks retouched.0

Its images like this one and the images that are put out there of the young hollywood that I have a problem with. I have two daughters one age 8 and one age 7 the 8 year old is like me a little junk in the trunk but the other is thin and is perfectly healthy but because of the images that are out there she asks me if she is fat!!! :explode: Drives me nuts!:noway: I am constantly telling my girls how beautiful they are but I feel like I am fighting a losing battle when there is soooo much crap out there influencing my children.:grumble:0

That same thing happens to my boss's daughters who are about that age and are TOTALLY thin. When she told me about it I was so shocked! It's just shocking that even little kids are getting that message.:mad:0 -

look how gross my arm used to look. i was about 19 and barely 125lbs at 6'1. i didnt have an eating disorder but i did have a hard time living on my own and was too proud to ask the fam for $$ so i pretty much starved for a while living off ramen and mac and cheese. mostly ramen. i cropped the rest of the pic out because i look AWFUL! thanks to my dad the full pic is now posted on his FB...:grumble:

at the time, i promised a friends mom i would look into modeling :noway: can you believe they told me i needed to lose an inch off my hips! :noway: i was like - WHERE!!!!???!!!! i'd have to have surgery to shave off the bone! i think that was their way of telling me i wasnt pretty enough. but still, what an awful thing to tell someone who is already way too skinny!0 -
