Omg...

I've been using the treadmill steadily for the past 3 months...I *thought* I was in ok shape. Uhhhhhhhhh no, not even close! I just finished the lvl 1 program and she kicked my butt. Wow I haven't been that thoroughly exhausted in a LONG TIME. What a great workout! Grueling, but great.

I'm getting a HRM in the mail soon to help me log cals burned...anyone have a guestimate though until it arrives? I'm assuming 200 cals maybe...

I love the 30 day shred. I have made it to level 3 and it doesn't get easier that is for sure.

According to my HRM (I have a Polar F6), I do Levels 1 and 2 combined and I burn about 330 calories. Obviously, the more you weigh doing ANY exercise, the more calories you are going to burn. I love Jillian and her fitness/nutrition advice. I am thinking of buying her new book, Making the Cut, so I can lose my stubborn last 20 pounds!!

    Good luck to you!!

I bought that book but according to her, I'm not fit enough yet! She gives you a baseline of where you should be strength and cardio wise and I just haven't mastered those push ups yet!

I'll have it handy though when I do get there. I do love her advice and no excuses attitude, it's just what I need. If you're in good shape, I would recommend it!

I also have 'Making The Cut' and am doing the program. I start week 3 next week. It is definitely NOT for beginners. It's a tough workout- but I'm enjoying it. I've also tried a few of the recipes in the book, with a little variation, and they are pretty good.
