How much protein is TOO MUCH protein?
Guys...how much protein is too much protein? I've been reading articles of people saying that high protein diets are dangerous for the body and dehydrating! I have about average 120g-130g a day? Is that alright? I'm 5"1, 44.5kgs!

LADIES: How to get rid of period bloating and water weight g
It's that time of the month again where the scale screws with my mind. Bloating + water weight = weight gain! I work out regularly even when I'm on my period, so how do I eliminate these issues?

HRM: Any Polar FT7 and Suunto users??
I am going to get my first ever heart rate monitor today and I am INCREDIBLY excited!! However, I am stuck in between two choices. The Polar FT7 and the Suunto M2. I know that Polar is a relatively reputable brand as many MFP-ers use it but I've heard that Suunto is a pretty good (direct competitor of polar) brand as well.…

Using HRM to calculate TDEE
I do not have a fitbit and do not intend to get one anytime soon so I was just wondering if I can use my Polar for a day just to see how much my body actually burns a day.. I've been reading forums about how online TDEEI calculators are highly inaccurate. My stats 5"1 44.5 kgs

Just starting out
I'm female, Asian, 153cm and 44.5 kgs. I am petite and no, I am not skinny fat. I have fat around my arms, a lower belly pooch and a larger lower body. I put on weight very easily because of my frame and eat about 1100-1200 calories a day! I've been so afraid to up my calories due to how quickly I've seen my body gain…

Feeling mentally tired from the gym
I'm about 5"1 (or shorter) and 97 pounds. I've been trying to cut body fat through cardio and strength training but I've been feeling pretty unmotivated as of late. I dread workouts and feel tired. I do circuits but end up only doing 10/15 minutes and then giving up. I know I have it in me to complete it but my mind is…

Using HRM for strength and circuit training
I use a Polar FT7 and just got it recently. I usually do circuits that are a mix of cardio + strength. For example: 20 secs: Burpees 10 secs: Rest 20 secs: Push-ups 10 secs: Rest 20 secs: Shoulder press with sumo squat 10 secs: Rest And this goes on for about 10-15 minutes (one circuit). The question I have is, do I pause…

Unhealthy food in the morning to burn it off!!!
I've been going on pretty well in my weight loss except for the fact that I've reached a mental and physical plateau. No motivation...it's like my mind is not in this weight loss thing at all. I'd start to eat junk food and listen to my cravings like chocolate and mac & cheese (thank god i didn't gain weight). So anyway,…

Less cardio more weights or vice versa?
I've been working out for the past 3/4 months and have lost about 3 kgs. I'm at a healthy weight and just looking to lose more fat so I'm not that kind that has alot of fat to lose. After the 2nd month or so, I started doing one hour of cardio. 1st 30 minutes are intense intervals while the 2nd set of 30 minutes are…

Gluten intolerance?
So I think I've got a slight gluten intolerance? I've been keeping refined carbs out of my diet for the past 3 months or so. On random cheat meals, I have pasta/mac and cheese/porridge. I find that I wake up the next day with horrible bloating, pain and diarrhea. Could it be that my body has been so accustomed to a diet…

Plateau! Help!
I think I've hit a plateau. My weight's been fluctuating at 45.9kgs-46.2kgs for the past few weeks. I've been working out for about 2 months now. I eat clean (with very little cheat meals) and work out 5-6 times a week. What could be the problem??? I know that I don't have alot of weight to lose. I'm just looking to lose…

I don't see my results fast enough... :(
Hi there, I am 46.4kgs and about 153cm tall. I know this is healthy for my height but I would like to get down to about 40 kgs. I started off working out about a month ago, I weighed 47.8kgs. I can definitely feel my shorts getting looser. Now that the month is almost ending, I am getting frustrated as the scale is not…

Do you feel guilty when you take a break from the gym?
I'm taking a day's break from the gym today though I'm still willing to keep between my 1200 cals + eating super clean. But I feel kinda guilty though...I'm super OCD when it comes to getting my calorie burn for the day. I feel like I'm betraying MFP whenever I skip gym because I usually pre-calculate my calorie burn for…

Pill that increases metabolism and calorie burn
Burn 60 is a thermogenic that supposedly increases your metabolism, therefore increasing calorie burn throughout the day. Today was my first day on it. It gave me a lot of energy to get through my workout. I did level one of the 30 DS and 40 minute intervals on the treadmill (7mph recovery, 10mph sprint). I'd say that the…

Netting too little calories but don't know what to eat!!!
I'm 19, female, 5"1 and 103 lbs. MFP says that I should have 1200 calories a day. I work out 5-6 days a week for about an hour each time. Here's what I have on my caloric counter today: Goal: 1200 Food: 914 Exercise: 498 (MFP may over-estimate so let's just say it's 398) Net: 416 Remaining: 786 I read somewhere that I…
