I just made a post similar to this a couple minutes ago- It's titled Small meal/snack ideas. I listed a whole bunch of small meals and snacks- a lot of them would be good for pre/post workout.
Feel free to share the ones that you feel you're running dry on. Maybe they'll be new to me =)

At first I didn't eat anything before but I'm just recently started eating a chobani yogurt before strength training and drinking 8 oz of chocolate milk afterwards.

I usually drink a protein shake before or after, with a whole bunch of fruits thrown in, + almond milk. If my workout ends really late, I eat some nuts after I'm done.

    I like oats before.
  • I usually eat breakfast of Oats and Eggs and then workout 2 hours later. Then I have a post-workout/recovery shake. Here is one of my favorites...

    Mixed Berry Recovery Shake

    Ingredients:
    1 tbsp ground flaxseeds
    1/2 cup low-fat Greek Yogurt
1 cup frozen organic mixed berries
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
    1 tsp glutamine

Put all ingredients in a blender and process at high speed. Add 1/2 to 1 cup water as needed for consistency.
