How Do I Close My Account?
I’m getting messages that say I’ve been logging in 40 days in a row when that’s not the case. I want to close my account.

Does anyone here own a smart water bottle?
I am thinking of purchasing a smart water bottle that keeps track of intake, uploads to various sites and "urges" you to drink throughout the day by giving you reminders. For those who own one, do they work well? I know there are two primary brands on the market right now. Can you recommend one or the other? Thanks!

Walking With Pedometers
All you need to join this thread is a pedometer and a pair of walking shoes. Try to reach 10,000 steps daily or roughly the equivalent of 5 miles (the recommended number of steps for good daily fitness). Can't reach 10,000 yet? No problem! You can use this thread for motivation. Just do your best and check in with us each…

According To My Heart Rate Monitor . . .
I just burned 175 calories doing strength training. I am frustrated and have been trying to add this to my exercise diary. I meticulously put in each exercise along with the number of sets and weights, but the system isn't accepting this data. I just want to "quick add" these calories. Can someone tell me how to do this?…

Had To Turn Away An Old Friend Because . . .
I gained so much weight and would have been humiliated to be seen as I currently am. An old childhood friend contacted me about 2 years ago online. We kept in touch via the internet. Considerable stress and my age have caught up with me and I find myself weighing more than ever. After 2 years, this friends says he would…

Accountability Increases Your Success: Check in Daily!
There are two things of which I am certain regarding fitness: (1) I like a variety of workouts - walking, kickboxing, strength training, etc. and (2) Unless I am accountable, it is relatively easy for me to lose motivation and slide off of the proverbial wagon. Can you relate? This is what I propose - a thread where…

What Was Your Experience With Turbo Jam Like?
I just got TJ a few days ago. I like it but some of the steps seem kind of "dancey." Can you talk about your Turbo Jam experience? Did you lose weight from this program? If so, how much? Thanks.

Has Anyone Tried Both Turbo Jam and Turbo Fire?
I'm wondering who has tried both TJ & TF and can speak to the differences between them? I am looking for a fun program and while both look like good workouts, I have a real problem picking up and following fast-paced moves. (I've never done a kickboxing workout and am not familiar with how to execute the moves.) What do…

What Motivates You To Exercise When You Really Don't Want To
Everyone has difficulty mustering the motivation to exercise at one time or another. I'm curious as to how you motivate yourself to move during those times when you physically and/or mentally do not want to do an activity.

Who Uses Kettlebells? Alone Or With DVDs?
I enjoy a kettlebell workout from time to time. I'm wondering who else uses kettlebells and if you use them with a DVD? If so, I'd appreciate some recommendations. I own the "Kettlenetics" DVD set and just got Kathy Smith;s set. Thus far, I'm partial to Kettlenetics. What about you?

Nordic Track Ski Machines
Does anyone else use this cross country ski machine? I have tried different types of cardio throughout the years, and for me, this machine has given the absolute best workout - 50% less impact than walking, calorie burn equal to running, works upper and lower body simultaneously (not to mention whittles your waist!). After…

Trigger Foods & Uncontrollable Cravings
I'm sure there are others out there like me who simply cannot eat certain foods because they wreak havoc with blood suger and cravings. For example, if I eat a lot of carbs, it creates intense cravings rendering me out of control and no matter what, I cannot will myself to stop eating them. I try to avoid them. Foods that…

Does Anyone Else Use A Nordic Track Skier?
I purchased a Nordic Track Ski Machine when they were first manufactured years ago. To this day, it remains the most effective and rigorous workout I have ever done. I hadn't been on mine for quite some time and only lasted 25 minutes this evening. I got off dripping in sweat but felt great. Anyone else out there still…

Greatest Weight Loss Book . . . Ever!
I am a skeptic. A number of diet trends and diet books abound promising great results but often end up disappointing. Last weekend I was in Target when yet another diet book caught my eye. A few cursory glances told me it looked good enough to purchase (after all, if I didn't like it, I'd return it). What a wonderful…

How Did You Find This Web Site?
As we are all too aware, sometimes our plans change in a way we were unable to foresee. More personally, I joined a paying web site run by an "exercise guru." Within a very short time, I could see that this site wasn't for me. I wasn't motivated by it, felt the exercises weren't really what I wanted to do, etc. But then…

Did You See This Diet? Any Thoughts?
Can You Lose Weight With This Hot Diet Trend? By Kimberly Papa Wolfson Eating cookies all day and losing weight might sound too good to be true, but Josie Raper, who recently shared her story on Good Morning America, went from a size 24 to a six doing just that. At 28 years old and 240 pounds, Raper had tried dozens of…

Leslie Sansone fans: What's Your Favorite Workout?
I enjoy many of Leslie Sansone's DVDs, and although I own many, my two favorite are "Walk Away The Pounds Express - 4 Mile Super Challenge" and the one I purchased just the other day "Walk Your Belly Thin" (3 miles). What's your favorite(s) and how often do you use these workouts? :flowerforyou:

Calling On All Success Stories!!!
Nothing is more inspirational than hearing from others who have gone through (or are currently midway through) the same struggles you are going through. I am relatively new to this site and would love to hear from those of you who have lost at least 50% of the weight you set out to lose. How did you do it? What did you say…

Who Is Interested in Joining a "Walking With Pedometers" Clu
I do not leave my house without my trusty pedometer on and have been making a concerted effort to get my 10,000 steps in daily. With the weather cooling off a bit (at least on the East Coast), it is inviting to take long walks outside. Is anyone interested in joining me in setting walking goals and supporting each other in…

Poll: How Often Do You Exercise & What is Your Regimen?
I am new to this site and am very impressed with it and its members. I'm wondering if you would please take a moment to discuss how frequently you exercise and what type(s) of exercise you do within a week? Do you take days off? Have an overriding goal you're trying to accomplish, e.g., losing weight prior to attending a…

My Downfall
The later in the day, the harder it is to curb my appetite. I sometimes wake up half asleep and feel like I must eat something in order to go back to sleep. I know others here must face this challenge at times. Can anyone suggest some constructive ways to handle this? Thanks. P.S. I tend to drink a lot of caffeinated…

How Do I Count This Exercise?
I just completed a fairly rigorous exercise tape which included a warm up followed by weight lifting and a cool down. The reason it's so hard to quantify is because the leader would do lunges while simultaneously doing overhead presses. She would then go on to another "two-fer" and then return to that exercise or a variant…

Hello.
I am a 56 year old female who until the past few years or so has had few problems maintaining her weight and an exercise regime. With the advent of menopause and some deeply stressful circumstances, I have gained 50 lbs. I joined another web site dedicated to exercise and weight loss, and one of the members recommended…
