Half an hour a day
Question, is this enough or would you be doing more? I’ve put together a routine of varying weight training exercises at 3 sets of 20 reps with 30s break in between each set: Day 1 Triceps and shoulders Day 2 back and abs Day 3 biceps and chest On each day, I also do 10 mins cardio on the cross trainer. Total time spent is…

Tennis heart rate
I play tennis regularly and have been monitoring my heart rate using a fitbit charge 3. Whilst playing singles I can feel that I’m exerting myself heavily with all muscles aching and getting a sweat on but my heart rate doesn’t appear to go over 125bpm. My friends playing regularly get up into the 140-160 range and I’m not…

Can you do too much?
I joined up with a tennis club in July and have been loving playing regularly since (I used to play a lot through my childhood and teenage years). I'm getting in roughly 6 to 8 hours a week mixing probably 70/30 doubles and singles now that I'm not feeling the muscular strain so much and have just got back to playing…

stomach crunches
Over the last 6 months I've been losing weight via cycling and diet which has been fine but I've wanted to improve all round fitness and as part of my weight lifting sessions want to include crunches to increase core strength but attempts previously have not been successful as my abs are very weak. Question is, to improve…

Preparing for high intensity exercise?
So I attempted to do a 20 mile cycle ride in one hit yesterday morning and glad to say completed it in 95mins. I realise this may not be a lot for some but was quite an accomplishment for me! Down side to this was that I was absolutely knackered for the rest of the day and it gave me a major headache which I'm certain was…

Some NSV's for me over the weekend!
Bought some new work trousers a size down and found out they're a little too big! Managed a 20 mile cycle ride and still able to walk after and without much ache today  Cycling to the train station this morning in the rain rather than getting a lift!

Should I give up looking at the scales?
In the last 3 weeks I've put on 3lbs but can go along 2 extra notches on my belt so I know I'm losing fat but seem to be gaining weight. I'm only doing a bit of cycling and walking each day which I've been doing since the beginning of the year so don't understand!

balancing calories
Does anyone else use the weekly calorie thing on the app rather than daily? I still try and meet my daily goals but occasionally go all out on a takeaway or just have a day where I've done a lot of exercise and physically can't eat enough to bump up the calories but as long as the last 7 days average out to my daily goal…

Feeling lathargic
So I took a week off from my calorie deficit and tried to remain at maintenance. Also didn't do much in the way of exercise either. Yesterday, started logging properly again and exercising and now I'm feeling really deflated and without energy. I've slept properly so the only thing I can put it down to is lack of…

Sabotage!!!
Help! I hit a milestone (for me anyway) over the weekend of having lost 10lbs in the last 2 months. Since then though I feel like I just want to have a binge on junk food! I'm resisting the urge but has anyone else had this?

A minor success....
Although I'm not sure how - maybe you can help! So I've been watching my calories now since the beginning of Feb and cycling near enough everyday but didn't lose any weight at all although noticed my double chin going. I then fell ill last week and kept my calories up to around 1250 to 1500 (I couldn't actually stomach…

RideLondon - Surrey 100
I've just entered the ballot to do this and am bricking myself! I can do about 20 miles at the moment mostly off road in around 3hrs which is nowhere near what I'll need to do to achieve the 100 mile goal. Saying that I only jumped back on the bike about a month or so ago. Has anyone else entered the ballot? Would like to…

BBQ!!!
Haha, blew it today! BBQ for lunch, still half the food left over and gone way over the calorie limit for the day... Back on the bandwagon tomorrow with an early morning cycle ride. Is it bad that I don't feel bad about my blow out today??

Where did it go?
So over the last couple of weeks my belly hasn't really gone down much. Have lost some from thighs and chest area but all of a sudden I woke up this morning and my belly was much flatter than it has been. I don't get what happened overnight. It was there, then it wasn't. Has anyone else had this happen and does anyone have…

long cycle rides and calories burned
Yesterday I went for a near enough 3 hour cycle ride. The weather was lovely and I had places I wanted to explore (only recently moved to the area). Question is, I wore my hrm which said I had burned 1980 cals. On top of my 1720 daily goal I couldn't eat that back in a day even going out for dinner last night amd having a…

Walking - is it worth logging?
I walk roughly 20 to 40 minutes everyday and always make sure that I go as fast as possible when I do to get the best benefit from it. I cycle a few times during the week which I count as my main source of exercise so don't bother with the odd 100cals that walking provides as I figure that should be part of daily life…

calories consumed cycling?
So I noticed there wasn't nutritional information for bugs swallowed whilst cycling through woodland...

Argh! I can't eat enough!
So I started by trying to lose 2lbs a week which put me on a 1250cal a day diet. I've been doing this for about 6 weeks now and lost 7lbs which isn't bad in my opinion but I've started exercising and don't really mind if the weight loss is a bit slower (I'm aiming for a lifestyle change more than rapid weight loss). I've…

Hungry Noob
Hi, I downloaded the MFP app a couple of weeks ago and have so far lost 4 pounds which is great. Initially, the decrease in calories wasn't too difficult to cope with. I started eating breakfast which kept me going to lunchtime quite happily but I've found that the last couple of days I'm starting to get hungry earlier at…
