Book on lifting for women
There was one that was really big on here for awhile, something like the new guide to lifting heavy? I've tried googling and can't find it. I was almost done training for a half when I broke a toe and after a week of running around on it at work I'm looking for something without foot movement

Meeting attendance
Has anyone ever gone to a meeting and been the only one there or one of very few? The biggest thing holding me back is my social anxiety, though kind of in reverse because I'm afraid to go and be one of few (therefore possibly getting more attention). If it was a small group what was your experience? For YEARS I've been…

Looking to buy the old Turbo advanced DVDs
If anyone has some going unused or happens to see some available please let me know! They're the HIIT 30, Fire 60, Upper/Lower 20 (I think) and Abs 10 workouts.

I need someone to tell me to do it
To start, I've been losing anywhere from 0.5-1.5 lbs a week fairly consistently so it's scary to think about changing things up. But I've noticed recently I've had bigger losses the weeks I take a couple days off (for travel or whatever) and end up eating more than I normally would. I'm 5'6 and 180 currently, MFP has my…

Chick pea peanut butter cookies
I saw a post about peanut butter cookies and it reminded me of these. The texture is very thick and fudge-like and the overall taste is peanut butter and chocolate. I used mini morsels as it's what we had on hand and I feel like the chocolate was distrubuted more evenly that way as we ended up with fairly small cookies. I…

Are rest days essential?
I'm 10 weeks into Turbo Fire, 19 if you count the prep schedule I did first, and the calendar gives you one rest day a week. Since the weather has gotten nice I've been using my rest day for a long run (when I run on Turbo days it's usually only 2-3 miles and I still want to work on distance). Maybe once or twice a month…

Anyone have the Fire Starter schedule?
My calendar has gone MIA between Sat and today and I can only find the original or the newest schedules online, not the one that came with my pack. The one I'm looking for has the Fire Starter workout I think 3x the first week. If anyone has it and is willing to post the 12 week schedule or send me a pic of the calendar…

Good quality, budget friendly workout shoes?
Do they exist? I'm in the market for new running shoes and new cross trainers (or a better shoe you may recommend for plyo work). I signed up for a 5K training course that includes an informational night at a running specialty shop so I will likely wait and see what they recommend for my gait and all but thought I'd see…

What to expect at a first meeting
I've been looking up meetings off and on for years, but never had the courage to follow through. I pretty much have every symptom of binge eating disorder, though have never seen anyone for it, and while I have lost weight in the past I still had significant binges and often obsessed over what I was and wasn't eating. In…

Keep needing to turn my Polar off and on
The first couple times I turn it on it pops up with a HR of 00. If I turn it off and on 2-3 times it will finally register my HR. Is that a sign of a low battery? I tightened the strap a bit since it was getting a little loose, but as far as I can tell I'm putting it on in the same position I always have and never had a…

Less than 50 days to the US season premiere!
I actually had a chance to watch the TNT reruns this AM while my daughter was playing with her grandparents and it just reminded me how much I love this show! Less than a year to Jersey Con 2013, that's a whole year to lose at least another 20 lbs, hopefully more :D I want this to be my skinniest pic with Jared yet.

Maximum/Target HR question
The high range of my target workout zone is 162 - even when I was in good shape and running 15-20 miles a week my HR was normally steady around 170/175 during my workout. I went out for my first jog in about a year and started slow, but even jogging as slow as I physically could my HR jumped to 187. I finally got it down…

Anyone ever had a treadmill repaired?
Do you go through the company and they send someone or are there usually local places? Did they come to your house? And is it super expensive?? I'm guessing it depends on what needs fixing. After moving this summer it seemed to work fine, but after a couple weeks the belt stopped functioning. The circuit board seems fine…

My new favorite frozen treat
Black cherry Chobani with a few chocolate chips mixed in (I use the minis) and frozen until icy. It's so good, especially for someone like me who loves Cherry Garcia ice cream! The lemon Chobani is really good frozen, too.

NSV - C25K Grad :)
When I joined MFP in January I had just started working out again after having my daughter. I tried to do an interval workout I had always done easily before my pregnancy and couldn't sustain a jog for even 2 mins! Very discouraging to someone who used to run 4-5 miles a few times a week. So I started the C25K sometime in…

C25K Week 7 help
I just finished my last week 7 workout which means I've now done four 25 min runs and it's not getting any easier. The first 18-20 mins are fairly comfortable, but in those last 5-7 mins my HR gets up over 180 (usually 185-190). I end up panting and lightheaded and two of those runs have had to stop and catch my breath. I…

HRM users, how often do you change your weight?
I know it's probably silly, but I find resetting the weight on my HRM a pain. I meant to do it at 5 lbs lost, but forgot and didn't change it until I was down 10. Do you reset with every loss? What's your number??

Nursing moms, supply dip - WWYD?
For the last two weeks I've been staying within 50 cals of my daily goal - 1550 net cals. The last weekend I worked I actually pumped an oz more than usual so I assumed all was well. Today I pumped an oz less than my average, same when I tried to pump a quick bottle on Sunday. Do you think I should try less intense…

Question for those who use HRMs
My HRM consistently says my HR is in the 70s and 80s even though it's a whole lot higher than that. However, the calorie burned by the end of the workout is super high, like it's actually getting my correct HR but not displaying it right? I'm guessing it needs a battery change, but which would that be - the watch or the…

New here and loving it!
Hands down best food logging site I've tried! As with most newbies I'm looking for friends if anyone is interested :) I was overweight most of my life, a size 16 for as long as I could remember. My junior year of college I started working out at the campus gym and slowly started learning about calorie counting and better…

Nursing moms, WWYD?
I just signed up yesterday and can't say I'm thrilled to be counting calories again, but it has to be done! Yesterday I added the "nursing mom, baby 6-12 months" to my food log to get the -300 calories. Then I noticed the ounces option and tried putting in 25 oz....it came out as -550! My daughter is 8 months old and still…
