The first couple times I turn it on it pops up with a HR of 00. If I turn it off and on 2-3 times it will finally register my HR. Is that a sign of a low battery? I tightened the strap a bit since it was getting a little loose, but as far as I can tell I'm putting it on in the same position I always have and never had a problem.

Are you using a saline solution or an electrode gel behind the chest strap? If not, you may want to try it. Supposedly, you can use saliva, but electrode gel lasts a lot longer. I got some on Amazon.0

I just looked it up and I guess the gel isn't recommended with what I have (Wearlink 31). Thanks for the suggestion!0

ive had that happen when i needed to throw the strap in the washer, but it could also be a sign of low battery.0
