Gaining weight after long maintain (5+ years)
Hi! I was a long time user for a few years when I was just starting my weightloss journey. Since then, I found my goal weight and have maintained it for about 5 years. Recently I have been doing some different exercises (started spin a little over a year ago) and a regular daily plank challenge (I was a runner but have…

boss
So here is some background info. My boss used to be in HR but switched a few years ago to be a graphic designer (which is what I am). Now she is an art director and is also my boss. I took this job last May and everything was good for a while but in the last few months she has been very cold to me and sort of catty. She…

for those of you one a second time around...
I have been worried since I lost my weight that I will gain it back and go back to old habits. I have a question for those of you that are back for a second or third time around, what happened. Do you have a defining moment that caused you to relapse? I'm not judging at all!! I just feel I can learn from others experiences…

Running in a sports bra.... and a smile?
To the ladies out there who run... do you run in a sports bra? I have been very self conscious about my mid section ( the tum tum) and yesterday I went running in a sports bra and no shirt for the first time. I couldn't stop wondering what others are thinking.... are they judging me? Are they thinking: "god put a shirt on…

runner with Hypoglycemia
So I'm hypoglycemic and I am a runner. This is the first summer that I have been running and I don't really know what to do. They heat kills me! I can't run very far and then I get the dizzys, tingles, and minor blackouts of vision. It takes me forever to cool down (still sweating at my desk at work) I know there has to be…

how do I stop? or at least find balance
So I reached my weight goal about a month ago, but I can't seem to stop losing weight. None of my clothing fits, and my family is starting to give me grief about being too thin. I eat my calories but now that I eat better I can't seem to eat the 1800 MFP tells me to eat. On average i eat about 1400-1600. I eat nuts to use…

anyone else reach their goal - need advise
I want to start out by saying that I know this isn't necessarily rational... but.... So I have finally reached my goal weight, but I'm "afraid" to stop the program or raise my calories. I know it sounds stupid but I feel so lucky to have been able to get the weight off as quickly as I did, but now I have the idea that if I…

Weight down... but not staying down
So when I started this program my goal was to lose 10lbs... 32lbs later I'm proud of my accomplishment. That being said, I'm not sure my body can maintain my new weight... I want to get down to 135lbs but every time I get under the 140lbs mark.... I go back to 140. I'm not complaining but I am curious, where is that line…

Wedding Dress
I got married in August of last year... and when I did I was a size 10. Dress fit me a little tight but nothing too bad. So this weekend we were at my husbands condo (which we can't sell because of the economy) and I saw my dress in the closet. I thought I would try it on... and it was loose. I was never "heavy" but I was…

Stomach
Hello, I've been here for 85 days and have lost 27lbs which is more than my original goal of 15...YAY! My question is about my stomach. Since doing a low calorie and as a result a low fat diet I have been getting stomach aches every day, and most days the poops (sorry not to get gross). I don't know what I am doing most of…

Pizza, what did it do to you??
After reading about the USDA guidelines released yesterday, I was surprised to see my friend the pizza pie in the crosshairs. What did pizza ever do to you? Has anyone ever heard of moderation and self discipline? Read the full article here:…

Crazy shin splints
Hi All! - I started running a few months ago, I have done a few things to make sure I'm prepared: 1. have increased my distance and speed slowly over the last few months 2. bought new shoes (Saucony Omni shoes) from a running store that analyzed my running style. 3. added inserts for arch support (after the shin splints…

geez, how to I defeat the plateau?

Have you had to re-adjust your calories? (goal)
I dropped 10lbs fast in the beginning (2 weeks) but now i'm not losing anything. And before you say it's all water, I have a low sodium diet and drink lots and lots of water even before I started this. I re-adjusted my goal today to see what my calorie tracker would be... has anyone else had to lower their calories to lose…
