Weight down... but not staying down

So when I started this program my goal was to lose 10lbs... 32lbs later I'm proud of my accomplishment. That being said, I'm not sure my body can maintain my new weight... I want to get down to 135lbs but every time I get under the 140lbs mark.... I go back to 140. I'm not complaining but I am curious, where is that line where your body says "enough"?? Have I reached that point?

Even though I put a goal weight on my ticker, my mind set is a bit different than that.
The way I eat while I'm losing has to be the basis of how I will eat forever. I will continue to eat well and exercise most days of the week. That is my promise to myself. The definitions of 'eating well' and 'exercising most days of the week' have to be ones that I can live with and fit into my life. These may be moving targets as my life changes, but in general, I have an idea of what is reasonable for me.
My final 'goal' weight will be where my body seems to settle as I continue to live my healthy life. I'm hopeful it will be 140, but if I stop where I'm at right now, I will be happy. Any time I plateau, I stop, reassess, make changes that I feel I can live with and continue on. If I were to not lose any weight with additional changes, then I will be happy with my weight where it is.
My BMI is in the healthy range, my clothes size is in the single digits, so these also are signs that I'm within my final goal area.0 -
I have been wondering this too. Because I seem to be stuck in the 140's. I am proud of getting this far but wonder if I should try to get a little lower. I am only 5' 2" and 20 yrs ago I weighed under 120 and could eat anything and wasn't very athletic so now I'm still not athletic but I do exercise regularly so feel I have added muscle I didn't have before and I know I am 20 years older but I really was hoping to get down to the 125-130 range and maintain from there. I still am not in healthy BMI I have to loose about 4-5 more pounds for that. I understand muscle weighs more than fat but I am sitting here wondering how much more seriously? I only weighed 116 lbs when I was 3 months pregnant 20 years ago so I don't think it is unreasonable to think my body could maintain 125-130 now that I am older is it?0

Double check your portions, the food that you're eating. Also, change up your exercise if you've been doing the same stuff all the time. Are you drinking all your water? Are your carbs/fats/sodium etc all in line?0

I actually have been training for some races recently... and I'm not really gaining but I get down two lbs and then back up the two lbs... I'm not thinking it's anything I'm doing just that my body like 139-140lbs.0
