WTC.....only 153?
Does anyone know how accurate the HRM is that comes with the EA Sports Active 2 game? I just finished a 33 minute workout where I actually busted my behind the entire time & it said that I only burned like 153 calories. I know that age, height, weight, and gender have a lot to do with the amount of calories that are being…

Two of the things that I can't live w/out are
HOT SAUCE & SALAD DRESSINGS! For the last week or so, I have been taking in WAY too much sodium. My goal for the next two weeks is to NOT take in more than 1500 mg of sodium per day. I've looked online for low sodium foods & many websites have been somewhat helpful. I don't eat canned or processed foods & I know that…

< 1000 calories a day....is it really healthy??
I KNOW that everyone wants to lose weight. But, why choose to do it the unhealthy way? Losing weight takes time. You just can't starve your body for weeks, lose weight, & expect the results to be healthy. I know that some of you who eat under 1000 calories a day, have had eating disorders and are trying to recover from…

Is it an obsession or a psychological addiction?
I think when the majority of us joined MFP, we did it to look, feel, & be more healthier indivduals. We accomplish these goals by logging our foods & exercises daily. We log everyday for months & months on end. But, what do we do when we finally reach our goals? Are we suppose to keep logging everything, everyday, for the…

Ab Ripper P90X
I did the Ab Ripper P90X for the 1st time yesterday & I  ed it! I only did between 10 & 15 reps of each exercise. Hopefully, I will soon be able to do the full set of 25. When I woke up this morning, I could barely move. I've done ab workouts before but my abs have NEVER been this sore. I'm NOT complaining @ all. I…

30 day shred w/ Jillian Michaels
I'm thinking of buying this DVD this weekend. But before I do, to those of you who have tried it, can you let me know what you think about it? Also, I'm wanting to really start concentrating more on my abs; what ab workout dvd's do you suggest?

HRM for the ACTIVE 2 Playstation III game.
OK..so my birthday is next Wednesday, & while @ Best Buy today, my sweet husband bought me an early birthday present. He got me the Active 2 game for our Playstation 3. YAY!! So, right when we came home, OF COURSE I had to check it out & I LOVED it. Anway, it came w/ a HRM that you strap on your arm & I was just wondering…

Late Night Munchies
If I decide to literally PIG out @ the end of the day, should I log it into that day's diary (no matter how late) or the next day? For example, I'm having a slumber party w/ my youngest son & nephew; we have been watching movies, PIGGING OUT, & having a BLAST. Anyway, I had an ice cream cone w/ some YUMMY chocolate…

When the kids are gone, mom gets it all!
I usually make deserts when the kids are @ home. After preparing the deserts and filling the baking pans, I then give each kid a dish with leftover goodies for them to eat. Since I have 3 boys, it works out wonderfully. They each take turns getting either the bowl, the mixing spoon, or the beaters from the electric mixer.…

My struggle- my journey- my story & all thanks to my new BF:
As a young teen, I can remember weighing 150 pounds & in high school, I got up to as high as 160. About 1 year after graduation, when I got married, I weighed around 145. When I was pregnant with my 1st child, I gained right @ 30 pounds, which made me weigh in @ 175. @ my 6 week checkup, I weighed 135 pounds. I had lost…

It's got me quessing......
I have my fitness goals set up to show that I am lightly active & that I workout @ least 5 days for 40 minutes each day. So, my question is....each day, when I add my exercises for that day, do I add all of my exercises or do I just add if I go over the 40 minutes? It looks like if I have it set up w/ me working out 5 days…

UNWANTED CELLULITE!
I am 35 years old & I have 3 kids. Although I love each one dearly & wouldn't trade a one of them for anything in this world, I'm NOT happy with the cellulite (on the back of my upper legs) that I was SO UNLUCKY TO receive during pregnancy. YES, I have almost reached my 1st goal weight & that's great BUT, I can't seem to…

Attention: GREEN TEA pill poppers.......
I have been counting my calorie intake & exercising since mid January & have been losing about a pound a week. But it was just this past week that I actually started taking GREEN TEA PILLS & I have lost an average of 3 pounds. I'm NOT complaining by no means but is that fast of a weight loss healthy? Do you gain when you…

CARBS! How much is too much & are they all bad?
I know I need carbs, but how much is too much? According to MFP, I can eat up to 237 carbs per day. Should I eat as close to that as possible or should I try to stay way under? I'm pretty active; I ZUMBA 5 times a week, lift weights 3 times a week, & go skating once a week. I know the more active you are, the more carbs…

1500 mg or less! :D
I'm TOTALLY psyched!! I went to Dollar General to stock up on some LOW sodium & HIGH potassium foods & I was very impressed with what I found. For one, I never realized how good Frosted Shredded Wheat was for you. WOW! It has 0 mg of sodium & 180 mg of potassium. I also found that Dried Apricots only has 10 mg of sodium &…

ANY suggestions?
I am trying to lower my sodium intake. The problem is, how can I keep my sodium level down while increasing my calories at the same time. I've ALMOST completed my food diary for today. I still need to take in like 300 calories (and I've not even exercised yet). I'd LOVE to keep my sodium intake around 1500 but I'm already…

OBSESSION? I think not! SODIUM SUCKS!
Another Saturday...which means eating things I shouldn't! I am good all week just to mess it all up on the weekend. I know I didn't go over my calories but thanks to my choices in food, my sodium level is sky high. It looks like if you are active a lot and you burn a lot of calories, you should be able to eat take in more…

OK....I did it! I set my food diary to public view!
I have been an active member of MFP for about 5 weeks now, but I've always had my food diary open for viewing from friends only. Today, I made my food diary available to the public. I know that I am close to my weight goal and I understand that the closer I get, the harder it is to lose. I would like to see quicker weight…

Which nutrients are best to keep track of?
I keep track of carbs, fat, protein, fiber, & sodium. I've noticed that others keep track of totally different ones. Can some of you please tell me which nutrients are the best to keep track of? I don't have high cholesterol, so should I even be keeping track of my sodium intake. I do have a tendency to go over my sodium…

One problem - One word ........ SODIUM!
I have a major problem & it consists of only 1 word: SODIUM! UGH! I hate sodium. Just hearing the word makes me quiver. Since MFP, I've been watching my calorie & fat intake but just recently, I started paying attention to my sodium intake. Most of all of my low fat & low calorie foods, are extremely high in sodium. It's…
