Keto drinks
So, I'm turning 21 in two weeks, and I want to celebrate with some drinks. Any suggestions for alcoholic beverages that are low carb? Recipes?

Night Binging!
I have this terrible problem where I eat healthy for a few days then, one night, binge bad enough to completely nullify my week's defecit! I'm not gaining anything but I'm not losing anything either and it's very frustrating. I'm not even hungry when I eat! I just can't help it and I don't know why. Since we never have…

Keto While Abroad
Next year, I'm studying abroad in Germany for 5 months. I don't think I'll have the means to cook as much as I do now, unless I can borrow cookware. I imagine I'll be eating most meals at the mensa. Keto has been the only successful diet for me, and I'm afraid that if I go off it, I will gain weight again. Any advice?

Calories in Coffee Beans
I've been looking all over for calories in roasted coffee beans. I like to make my own chocolate covered ones, but since I'm on a keto diet, I don't want to accidentally go over my carb count by eating them. I'm mainly worried about the coffee beans themselves, not the chocolate, which I can easily measure. Where can I…

Fat to Protein Ratio?
I eat approximately 1200-1400 calories each day. 50-60% of my calories come from fat. I stay under 25 grams of carbs. Is my protein intake too high? I'm worried that I'm stalling ketosis by eating too much protein. However, I have been eating this way for several months now. My weight loss has slowed down, but I haven't…

How to get a muscular body?
Right now I'm 145lb and probably 30 - 35% body fat (I don't know). I want to eventually get down to 120 lb. How do I reduce my body fat percentage (other than dieting, of course)? Right now I'm exercising 3 times a week for a 2:30 weekly total. I'm lifting weights during some of that time. I eventually want to have a six…

Atkins Fat Fast
I'm on day 3 of the Atkins fat fast, with my fat intake ranging from 80-89 these last few days. The first two days, I felt crappy and hungry, but today's not so bad. I'd like to stay on it for two more days, but I work out with a personal trainer tomorrow. Should I up my protein intake for the day? I don't want to burn out.

Need more fat!
I'm doing the atkins diet and I need to eat more fats. I find that at the end of the day, I haven't reached my fat goal (unless I'm eating straight coconut oil or something). What are some low-carb, low-protein, high-fat options?

Low Carb "Fried" Chicken
Adapted from http://www.recipelion.com/Chicken-Recipes/Best-Oven-Fried-Chicken 1 cup yogurt (I use 0% plain) 1/2 tsp powdered garlic 1/2 tbsp curry powder 1/2 tsp ground mustard 1/2 tsp Worchester sauce 1/2 tsp Siriccha sauce 1.5 lb chicken (any part works fine, boneless or skinless doesn't matter) 3 servings pork rinds…

Boneless Skinless Chicken Thigh Calories?
Today I recovered a frozen pack of chicken thigh fillets from the freezer. They weighed 1.6 lbs. There was no calorie count on the package, so I looked online for raw, boneless, skinless thighs. The calories varied from 30 to 50 calories per ounce. Now normally this wouldn't bother me, but I want to be as close as possible…

Difficulty Staying At 1200
I started the Atkins diet about 2 weeks ago and am having difficulty staying at 1200 calories on it. I'm down 4 pounds, but I find that I'm very hungry. I used to fill up on vegetables, but I can't on this diet. I am 5'2", 19 years old, and 137 lbs. Do you think I should raise my calorie limit? - Please don't tell me that…

How is Sprouts' Bread So Low Calorie?
A few days ago, I bought a loaf of country white bread at sprouts. It was 120 calories per serving, with 7 servings in the loaf. the loaf was pretty big and I was surprised to find that it was only 840 calories total. Whenever I make bread at home, it is always at least 1200 calories, and that's just using water, flour,…

Trutein Protein Powder: Healthy?
I've learned that it's very difficult for me to reach my protein goals unless I supplement my diet with protein powder. I like how Trutein tastes and that it's low calories for a large amount of protein, but I was wondering if it is healthy to take. I usually have 2 scoops a day for breakfast, which brings my protein…

Hip Thrust NSV!
Today I managed to do 8 reps @ 225. I feel pretty darn proud of myself, even though my weight loss has slowed to like .25 lbs a week.

Never thought I'd be saying this
I began going to the gym in early September. I hated every minute of it. It was difficult to even do 15 minutes on the elliptical on the easiest setting. I was only able to squat 90, and a single rep at that weight left me dead tired. The idea of actually doing a pull up seemed like a joke--as if I'd ever be able to do…

5:2 Fasting on Work Out Days?
I've found that after working out my appetite decreases significantly. As long as I get in enough protein, do you think I should fast on work out days? What if I don't hit my fat ratio - is that bad? Can you suggest any fatty foods that are relatively low in calories?

Supplement Safety?
My brother moved out and left behind a whole ton of supplements like creatine, BCAA, and Opti-men. Are these safe to take? I've noticed that my weight lifting hasn't been great these last few weeks and would like to continue to see improvements. I also don't want his stuff to go to waste, especially since he has a few…

Newbie gains?
I began weight lifting back in early October, about 30 minutes to an hour 3 times a week. I began to see some definition in my shoulders and arms, however lately I've noticed that the definition has not increased and it's become harder to lift weights. Have my newbie gains stopped?

Fat Intake and Irregularity? (TMI warning)
I suffer from constipation. This is nothing new- even though I drink at least 8, 8 oz glasses of water each day and have more than enough fiber from fruits and veggies, I've never gone poo more than 3-4 times a week. I figure this is pretty unhealthy. Looking at my macros, it seems like my fat intake is pretty low. Like…

Surviving Holidays
My birthday and the wintertime holidays usually fall within the same two-week period. In this case, I'm celebrating my birthday on the 19th, and the next day, my family and I are going out for Hanukkah. Don't have to worry about Christmas, but I know I'm going to feel like overeating on both of those days. Do you have any…

Pebbly texture under skin?
I've been working out for two months now, twice to three times a week. Instead of just fat on my upper arms and thighs, when I press my hand against the skin, I feel a pebbly texture. Is that fat? Will it eventually go away?

NSV: Squats!

Safe to eat rabbit that cat caught?
Okay, I know this is a weird question, but is it safe to eat a rabbit that our cat caught? He caught a huge one today and my mom wanted to cook it, but we couldn't since the thought occurred to her a few hours after she threw it in the trash. If the next time our cat catches a rabbit, the rabbit is cleaned and cooked…

Good stats for beginner weightlifting?
Are these good stats for someone who's only just started weight lifting? Squats: 135 lb Deadlift: 145 lb I'm an 18-year-old female. On average, how much should I expect to improve by in the next few months if I lift weights 2-3 times a week? Thank you for your help! (:

184 bpm?
I am 18 years old. If the maximum heart rate calculators are correct, my maximum heart rate is 202 beats per minute. Usually when I go on the elliptical, I stay between 145 and 160 bpm. Today, no more than ten minutes into the workout, my heart rate jumped to 175 and quickly climbed, reaching an apex of 184. That's 91% of…

getting more flabby as I get fit?
I've noticed that ever since I started working out, my body seems to be getting more flabby. I can feel and see muscles beneath the flab, but the flab itself is easier to grab a hold of and more jiggly. Is there a reason for that?

Brown Beech Mushrooms - Calorie Confusion?
The calories on the 150g package of brown beech mushrooms I ate today showed that there were 130kcal per 100g serving. That seems very high to me, and when I compared it to the estimated calorie account on MFP, it was 600% more calories per a serving of that kind. Are kcals different than calories?
