What 100 lbs gone looks like
Posting because I am so proud of where I am now! And because comparisons like this inspired me when I started my journey. This is over the course of 6 years. Stay the course! There are plateaus, but don’t get discouraged.

When an old photo emerges
Every now and then I come across and old photo on my phone and then I am amazed at how much I’ve achieved over the past 3 years or so. Left: my highest weight, cca 264 lbs Right: yesterday at 209 lbs. I have come down to 210 lbs in June 2016 and been maintaining since then (+/- 3 lbs). But beenmore focused on weight…

Preparing to start keto. Where do u track your net carbs?
Hi everyone. I’m planning to start keto (still reading and educating myself). Where can I track my net carbs and total calories at the same time? I downloaded atkins app, but that only tracks net carbs. I don’t see net carbs on MFP, unless I am missing something.

So, I'm kind of new here
I've been doing SL 5x5 for about 4 months now. I started them last year, but quit not long after (I'm a group class/cardio addict, so SL was a little boring and lonely for me). This time I'm not quitting. Sometimes I feel like I need more workout, but I assume as the weight grows I won't feel that way. Currently: Squat:…

New here
Hi everyone. I am new here, started 5x5 3 wks ago. I have been contemplating it for almost a year, lol. Doing good so far. I am not new to working out, just new to lifting. I have lost 50lbs since end of 2015. I lift at home for now, once I run out of weight plates, I will head to the gym. My last workout was Squats: 5x5…

50lbs down
I found some old photos that I have buried in my computer from the summer of 2015, when I was at my heaviest ever (around 260lbs). Both pics on top. Just yesterday my friend took a pic of me (beach photo, down right) and I put them together for comparison and wanted to share. Down left is from a week or so ago. I am still…

So proud of my progress
I have a long way to go, but My mom took this photo of me today and I wanted to share my progress. I And I even think these old photos are not at my highest weight. I don't think I kept any photos from when I was my highest (260).

Progress pic
I'm far from my target weight, but about 38 lbs closer :) . I just noticed this feature in mfp app, that I can compare the photos that I posted next to my weight along my journey.

To the LA fitness sales person
Firstly, I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm sure LA fitness has great employees somewhere, but I have to vent about my "fitness assessment" at LA Fitness. I've been a member of a small Lady of America gym since last summer, however it closed on Jan 1 and had to find something else. LA fitness is the closest to me and their…

Losing hair
Hi everyone, I have lost cca 25lbs since August and I started losing hair recently (2-3 weeks ago). I do have PCOS, but hair loss was never my issue. As far as I know, my thyroid is ok, but I will have that checked once the holidays are over. I do eat my exercise calories back, sometimes not all of them, but around 50%. If…

Hair loss
Hi everyone, In general don't have a hair loss problem with PCOS. I have now lost about 20 lbs since July and lately I noticed more hair shedding when showering than usual. Is something missing in my diet? Protein maybe? Can someone shed some light? TIA!

New member and ?? about LCHF
Hi everyone, New to this group, been dx back in 2007 when TTC. 2 kids later, my weight is at its highest ever, 254 currently, down from 260. I managed to lose weight before both pregnancies, mainly with GI diet and excercise. But now being 40, everything seems much harder. I've read a lot of posts here, very informative,…

Zumba lovers - what shoes do you like/wear?
Hi everyone, I am a fairly new... well old/new member. I finally joined the gym and my favorite are Zumba classes. I have used Nike Musique shoes in the past, they were ok. This time around I started with Nike Musique, but thought I would replace them because their soles were a bit worn. So I bought Blochs, but my feet are…

I need some motivation PLS
I have been losing continuously for about 3 months and then plateaued. My in-laws were visiting for a month and I was so busy with them I stopped logging in my food, but I was still eating good and exercising. But in the past week, I'm getting cravings for sweets, carbs (bread mostly) and what not. I'm still doing good…

Not a lot, but still PROGRESS for me

New here
Hi everyone, I'm new here, downloaded the Iphone app first and then realized (duh) there is a whole website behind it. My goal is to lose about 60 lbs, and just seeing that number scares me. :) . I have never been a calorie-counting person, I have (purposely) lost weight on three different occasions in my life (30lbs,…
