Need Help calculating Rice quantity...
I have been eating in quarter size plates for dinner, not big plates, just for portion control. I had basmati indian rice today but only ate half of my quarter plate of rice. I am wondering how many calories that would be? Any idea? Also, how much would it be in grams?

Okay, I woke up this morning to check my weight, 3 weeks later after starting MSP and I lost about 2lbs. This is excellent. At first I was seeing a weight gain but now, the scales are actually showing weight loss. Thanks to everyone who motivated me!

Need motivation.
I have been doing this calorie counting and exercise (even increasing exercise time to 50 mins) 6 days a week for about 2 weeks now and been pretty strict for the most part, but somehow I am not happy about the results on the scales. I feel fit, energetic and possibly even looking better (from what hubby says), but I am…

Weekends Throw Me Off
I just went thru my first weekend and I felt it was a complete disaster. Especially friday and saturday. I definitely ate too much and regretted it both days. All week, I worked hard and stayed within my limits and then the weekend arrives - dinner plus birthday for a friend, completely threw me off. I was lucky in one…

Food for Thought...
Now that I am seriously counting calories and keeping a log, I am amazed at how many calories one eats without realizing when we are in the "unknown". When you get in the habit of logging them down, you automatically start thinking of food differently! I also look at all the restaurants and food industry and am amazed how…
