Running NSV
Ok so I ran my first 5k today and needless to say I have completely surprised myself. I've never been a runner. This week I ran 2 miles in 23:26 seconds on one day and then on another day I ran 2 miles in 22:22. Today was the first day I've ever ran more than 2 miles and I finished my first 5k in 32:36! Very, very proud of…

What do you do?
I'm running my first 5k tomorrow morning and just wondered what all you MFPs do to get ready for the day/night before?

How man reps do you do in the gym?
I'm thinking of replacing my "Body Pump" hour with just lifting in the actual gym. The only problem is that I don't know how many reps to do of each exercise in order to be effective. Anyone have any advice?? I know what exercises to do but I don't know how to make it into an effective workout! Help me please! lol

Creatine anyone?
I am looking into adding creatine to my diet for help in my exercises. Currently, I do Body Pump 3 days a week - Mondays, Wednesdays, & Saturdays - and do Cardio exercises such as Zumba and a Step class as well as Yoga every now and then. I have been doing these things for well over 6 months and feel like I should be doing…

Treadmill NSV!
So today at the gym after my 1 hr Body Pump class, I decided to get on the treadmill and to do some interval walking/running. I was able to walk at 4.0 mph and run at 6.4 mph alternating every other minute! I remember doing this at the beginning of my weight loss and was barely able to run at 5 mph. I'm not really a runner…

I'm doing this NOW!
I am determined more than ever to get the body I have always wanted. I want to be fit, toned, and for people to question that I've had 3 kids. I am starting over today with a great mindset! I will achieve my goals and I WILL have the body I've always wanted. No more excuses! As a wise instructor once told me in my Zumba…

Over exercise calorie goal making me hold on to weight?
At the beginning of this thing called losing weight, I had my caloric intake set at 1200 calories and wasn't losing anything. I was eating back my exercise cals and doing everything "by the book" but not losing not 1 lb. So needless to say I up'd it to 1410 and still haven't lost any weight. But then I was looking under…

Staph infections! Has anyone had one?
I know this has nothing to do with weight loss, but as a supportive community I figured I'd get your opinions  My husband was playing softball on a Friday and slid into base. He scraped up his ankle and the side of his calf pretty bad. We didn't think anything of it until he was at work on Monday and he called me…

All my Body Pumpers!
How many times a week do you do Pump? I know Les Mills suggest 3 times a week and I try to do that. I just wondered if anyone did more or less and if you DO do more, do you see more results? Just curious:smile:

What are your favorite at home workouts?
I have begun the 30DS and I like it so far. I'm tired of going to the gym and just wanted to do something different. Plus I think my body has adapted to my current workout schedule. What are you favorite at home workouts that you enjoy and why? What makes them different from others?

Should I increase my calorie intake?
MFP has me at 1290 calories with me working out 5 days a week for 2 hours. I just wondered if my body was getting enough nutrition with my calories set that low. I do eat back my exercise calories. Should I increase my calories or keep them where they are? Just thinking and wanted some opinions! Thanks in advance

What are your trouble spots?
Mine are my thighs and my arms! No matter what I can't seem to get them to shrink! What do you do to successfully exercise these bad boys?!

I went shopping today and...
I am excited to say after being in a size 13 in Juniors and a size 12 in womens I am now comfortably in a size 8 in womens and loosly in a size 11 in juniors! Also, I used to wear an XL in juniors and now I'm in a large (some medium!) and a S/M in womens! I am beyond thrilled! So I rewarded myself with a little bit of…

NSV! So excited....
I was started to get a little frustrated because the scale has maintained itself at 155! It was driving me nuts! So at the end of May, I started measuring myself and voila - I'm down 11 inches since then!! Just 1.75 inches in 10 days! Needless to say, I have hidden the scale and vow to not get back on it for a while. My…
