Does Anybody Sleep With A Snorer?
My hubby snores. Loudly. I don't believe he stops breathing. He is overweight. We all know he has to be the one to change this. I feel bad "kicking" him all the time. I've tried ear plugs. They hurt my ears and I can still hear him snoring. He uses a type of air machine (not CPAP) and he's used the Breathe Right strips.…

Silver Linings Playbook
I saw Silver Linings Playbook today and I was THE ONLY ONE in the theater!! Anyway, I enjoyed the movie and thought the writers did a good job working some of the different symptoms of mental illness into the movie and I thought the actors did a great job portraying the characters. Also good to see the people without a…

My dr has recommended a hysterectomy for fibroids. My uterus is the size of a 15-week pregnancy. My cycle is a little weird with some clots/heavy bleeding/cramping. But nothing unbearable. Has anybody had a hysterectomy? I would want to keep my ovaries. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR HORROR STORIES! I don't want to rush into this…

Newbie Here
My name is Kim. I'm not new to bipolar or MFP, but new to joining a "group". I was diagnosed as bipolar 10 years ago after suffering a severe psychotic breakdown. Gained a butt load of weight from meds. Thought I was doing better. Stopped some of the meds. Then my job got stressful and now I'm not sleeping well and feeling…

Struggling After Surgery
I had surgery on my foot June 1. I have gained back 6 pounds - not a lot a know, but still a GAIN. I am not able to exercise normally yet on my foot (bunion removed and flat foot reconstruction). I start physical therapy on it tomorrow to gain back a full range of motion. Admittedly and ashamed, I have not been closely…

Would you find her guilty or not? After today's rebuttal(there were some of the phone conversations I had not heard), I would have NO problem finding her guilty on ALL counts!!

My 1-Year Anniversary on MFP
I realized that today is my 1-year anniversary since starting here on MFP. I have lost 36 pounds so far. Have there been ups and downs....of course!! Do I always log in absolutely everything...no. Some days I will go 2 days without logging food because I get sick of it, but I always check in and always find a post that…

5'2" and under weight range
I am barely over 5 feet tall. My ideal weight range suggests 98-132 pounds. I was thinking for me 130-135 pounds since that is about where I have been before and have been comfortable. Just curious, if you are around this tall, what is your "goal."

Steel Cut Oats
This is the first time I have made them. I used 1/4 cup oats and a little under 1.5 cups water. Are they supposed to be chewy?? Or did I not cook them long enough (I cooked about 10 minutes). They are very flavorful! Thanks in advance! ~Kim

Holiday Changes?
I have always loved to bake for the holidays and of course taste what I make (ha ha). This year will be challenging to stay on track. I think my plan will be to still sample what I make (just not so much), not go back for seconds at the holiday meals, and exercise like crazy! Do you have any plans to change the way you…

Exercise DVDs
Which exercise DVDs would burn as much calories or close to what an elliptical burns (for me that is around 400 cal in an hour). I'm getting bored with the elliptical and the treadmill hurts my feet at times.

Mio Pink Classic HRM problems
Does anyone have a mio Pink Classic Strapless HRM? I've had it for about a month. It quit taking my pulse rate/calories burned. The readout works so I don't think it is the battery. I will be calling them at lunchtime :(

Today is a 3-yellow pill day!!
So I take clonazepam for anxiety - no big secret. Today the minute I got to work it was stressful. So I came home at lunch and took one "just in case." I haven't turned to eating though which is what I would have done in the past. I'm just ready for 4:00 to come when I'm done with work!! Vent OVER!!

Scale Difference At Fitness Center
Today at work we started a wellness program and had to weigh in at the local hospital fitness center. Their scale weighed me 7 more pounds than my scale at home. They are both digital. Why do doctor's scales always weigh you more than at home?? I think its a setup.

Busy Schedule
I was doing pretty well today until I went to my son's track meet tonight & ate concession stand food. That put me over the top. I guess maybe it was better than eating at a fast food place. Here's to a better day tomorrow I guess!!

42 y/o Newbie with 40+ pounds to lose
Hello. A friend of mine recommended this website. I never like writing down what I ate before, but this is really awesome!! I was once at a normal weight, then gained 100 pounds in what seemed like overnight, lost some, gained some, and now am trying to get back to what I am "supposed" to weigh. It is really surprising to…
