Lower heart rate
Today was my second day at the gym. Yesterday my heart rate was super super high, between 170-180, today it was at 155-161  The chart on the machine has rates for ages 20 the 30, I'm 28, so I'm just trying to get it to be between the two. I did try out the sauna today. At first I didn't think I could stay in there,…

My first day of exercise
Yey, I did it! I just started my big goals 3 days ago. The first two I spent changing my eatting habbits and decided that today I was just going to go full plunge into exercise. Wow am I not where I was last year, at all! I have free access to a gym and decided I was just going to do 30 mins on the elliptical, then…

What do you track?
I was just wondering what other's on MFP track. I (of course) track calories and fat. I also track the carbs, fiber and sugar. I always seem to be about 10-15 over on fat... and well sugar, lets just not even go there! I don't drink soda, but country time lemonade is my down fall. I'm going to buy some crystal light today!…

Calorie cout help?
My husband, trying to be nice , bought me a pre-packed salad from Kroger. It was the Sante Fe chicken. I was not about to eat a salad with 220 calories and 16 grams of FAT :noway: So I mixed everything together added a few more carrot shreds and left the tomatos off (they looked like they were in some oily sauce.) I…

My nose tempts me, oh and Hubbs isn't helping!
I got up this morning to fix myself Dannon light and fit with 1/4 serving of Kashi granola mixed in. As I'm making my breakfast my husband is in the kitchen frying up andouille sausage, potatoes o'brian and a side of tortillas!!! :grumble: I stayed strong and ate my yogurt while giving him the stink eye. I know he's not…

Calories from home made soup
I'm making Japanese onion soup and I was wondering if boiling my onions, mushrooms, carrots... ect will add calories to the soup because I'm removing all that and just adding some tofu to the broth it makes? If anyone knows please share your knowledge with me  Thanks

I don't do this that often (get on the scale) AND since this morning I've put on 4lbs?!?! I feel tired and craving sugar big time! So I had 100 calorie pudding yum yum that…

OK I was on the whole "fitness kick" about 5 months ago. Last week when I put on my yoga pants just to wear around the house I realized the muffin top had returned  SOOOO I'M BACK! Well I've been exercising for just three days. OUCH am I sore! I do feel like my days are full of exercise. Every morning I try to do a…

-24 fat, Is it a big deal?
I still have 400 calories I could consume but I'm over my fat intake by 24. Do you think it's a biggie? It's not like I'm wolfing down cheese burgers or anything.... Any ideas for great snacks with low fat?

Separate food habits than your significant other
My husband is in the military and deployed at the moment. I've noticed when he's here I gain a few pounds. Well I think it's because I eat different than him. When he's here we eat the same meals together. When he's gone I eat alot of veggies, fish, chicken, healthy snacks, etc.... When he's here we tend to eat a lot more…

Taking rest days, is it important?
So I've been working my hiney off  I've noticed the past few days of exercise have just been ok for me. I don't feel like I'm getting all I can out of it and parts of my body actually feel weeker. I always hear it's important to have "rest" days from exercise, but how important is it?

Changing it up today!
So I've been on this whole yoga kick, and it's great! But I think my body is getting used to the same routine  So I'm really going to push my arms and abs today. I'm only going to do 20 mins of yoga, and not the same workout I've been following. I feel like my body is getting used to my "tricks". So I'm going…

High fat :-(
I'm eatting too much fat according to my food log... blah! My calories aren't high at all, they never even go over. Since my exercise "life style" began I've gone down from size 9 to 7 (juniors sizes). I do a lot more toning work outs than cardio. At this point I'm trying to get toned and if I lose some pounds in the…

Really hot baths
Does anyone think really hot baths help in weight loss? I googled it, I guess spas are a big thing. I know you're just getting rid of water from your body, but could this be a positive thing at all? In my own imaginary world it makes me feel slimmer
