What do you track?

I was just wondering what other's on MFP track. I (of course) track calories and fat. I also track the carbs, fiber and sugar. I always seem to be about 10-15 over on fat... and well sugar, lets just not even go there! I don't drink soda, but country time lemonade is my down fall. I'm going to buy some crystal light today! :drinker:

I track calories, fat, fiber, protein, sugar and iron. The last one I'll switch out every so often...maybe switch it for sodium or carbs. But the others always stay there.
  • The only ones I really track are total cals, and the main micronutrients - protein, carbs, and fat. I am not concerned with losing "weight", but "fat", and putting on lean muscle mass, which IS your metabolism. Keeping my carbs in check, and making sure I get enough protein are essential. Also making sure I get enough of the "good" omega, unsaturated fats in my diet.

On a side note, I've also given up aspartame (in Crystal Light--unless they've turned to Splenda recently, which I don't think they have, as well as in many other foods) because it causes me to crave sugar even more, along with other many negative things I've read about it.....just my 2 cents... I use Xylitol, a natural sugar, which my dentist actually introduced me to. Same calories, but MUCH less effect on your blood insulin levels than regular sugar, as well as other benefits including preventing plaque (which is why my dentist recommended it)!

    All my best to you!!

I track calories, fat, protein, carbs, sugar and cholesterol. Never too early to start tracking that last one, mmhm! Totally blew the cholesterol yesterday... egg for brekkie, cheese, pollack, shrimp, and froyo in one day? Bad idea.

 The colestoral! My husband has it bad. Well, I guess it's not awufl but he should watch it better than he does. Suprised mine isn't high? I got a check up a few months ago and at first the doc freaked, but turns out it was the good one that was high. Not sure why? I should watch my sodium though, I did have high blood pressure :blushing: High blood pressure at 28 years old  I just eat alot of raw garlic now, seems to have fixed it. I was going to try anything not to have to take meds for high bp!
