I lost 50 lbs since last year
I wanna share a few MORE tangible health benefits that I’ve experienced since being on this Path. - Being able to run FOUR MILES WITHOUT STOPPING (personal best time was today @ 42:03) - resting heart rate is 44- 50 bpm - knowing what it’s like to run full court basketball and NEVER GET TIRED) - waking up at dawn w/energy…

Carb Goal
Currently, I need to lose about 150 lbs. I'm doing as much keto as I can, but I need to find out what an appropriate carb (grams) goal is? I don't think it's ultra realistic, at first, to be 20 g or below, but what are the parameters where one can be in ketosis as far as range of carbs eaten per day? Thank you!

Any advice on swapping out foods for alternative healthy options?
Hi, I'm 170cm and 59 years old. I've restarted a weight loss programme after comfort eating since I became a widow. I've put on 6 kg this year on top of the 6 Kg I put on last year. I've been logging in daily for a month or so, but am still finding my fat and carbs intake way over what it should be, whilst protein is too…

New here. Looking for some good advice
I’m a 26 year old male. 5’7 220 lbs and I’m trying to lose at least 25 lbs. I’m addicted to fast food and sweetened teas. I don’t know anything about how to cook and I live a sedentary lifestyle working 32 hours a week as a security officer. I plan to get a gym membership. I suffer from chronic gastritis and GERD so I’ve…

When adding a cereal like frosties, frosted flakes or coco pops, does it include the milk? Or should I also enter a cup of milk?

Fatigue!
Hi everyone, I’m back on MFP after several years after dabbling in intermittent fasting, noom, and intuitive eating (which is a valuable resource but misses the mark a bit IMO).I’m now going through the Beck Diet Solution to train my brain to get this job done. I’m aiming to lose 80 pounds. I currently weigh 228 pounds and…

Prediabetes or Diabetic Macros?
Hi, I was diagnosed as prediabetic and I'm trying to get my AIC/blood sugar down. I also need to lose about 25 lbs. Does anyone know what macros are good for this? It seems every source recommends something different. Also trying to figure out how to track added sugar - it seems that MFP only tracks total sugar, which…

More "Nutrients tracked"
Two suggestions.. 1. Can you add "Net Carbs" to the list of nutrients tracked. Take Avocados for example, around 12g of carbs per pear, but only 2.5g are useable, the rest are fibre. For someone looking for a low carb diet I was keeping away from Avocados as I thought they were "high" carb. Turms out they aren't as most of…

HELP! I can not get into ketosis!
Hi. I am am a 54 yr old woman needing to lose 30 to 40 lbs. I followed a strict keto diet for 40 days losing 9 lbs the first 2 weeks then plateauing. At day 40 I was advised to break the diet for one day then restart with Atkins, I am now on day 4 of Atkins. During these weeks I have tested my blood and have never gotten…

Should I worry about a plant fat heavy diet?
Fatty foods are the only foods that really satiate me. I used to eat a lot of garbage, but over the past year, I've switched to mostly plant-based, unsaturated fats (nuts, peanut butter, avocados, high-quality olive oil, etc.). I eat a moderate amount of cheese and eggs (maybe every other day?) and meat when I can afford…

Low carb low sugar snacks
I’m having trouble finding healthy snacks. My trainer said stay away from prepackaged food. So what would be good for low carb low sugar? The more protein the better. Lol

Reversing T2
Hiya I am new here. I am in phase 2 of the ABL/NHS diet and have done super great losing 4 and a half stone in the 12 weeks on meal replacement however I am now reintroducing food on week 3 and moving up my calorie goal. My nutritionist wants me to maintain for a while but I still have a long way to go until my goal weight…

I miss bread
Bread is my weakness. I could probably eat a whole loaf in a day. I’ve been missing it so much, especially with my eggs in the morning. So I figured out an alternative a couple days ago. I shred a (red skin) potato into the air fryer, no oil, layer it thin and long. Air fry it until the hashbrowns are nicely toasted and…

Weight Gain and Cellulite
I’m very new to weight lifting so I apologise if this is something regularly discussed or known. I’m generally a very lean 46kgs. Loads of cardio, not afraid to eat carbs. I’ve always been energetic and slim. Recently I decided to switch it up and try gain muscle. The past 10 weeks I’ve progressed from body weight to…

Worked With More Calories Than I Ate
Heyo, I recently went down over 100pounds, from 315 to 195. A few weeks ago I just started my strength training journey but have a few questions. 1. Sometimes I eat sugar and I use it for energy. My treadmill tracks my carbs I used for energy based on the amount of calories it tracks (through distance and speed). However,…

Hello I am sort of new... been here for 8 years but no posts or networking
In the past, I have only tracked my food intake without making any significant progress. I have had several failed attempts at dieting, which resulted in fluctuating weight. However, this time, I am determined to make a lifestyle change by focusing on both nutrition and fitness. I am doing this differently by watching…
