So frustrated, need motivation!
My scale refuses to budge. I've been logging my food faithfully. Anything that is not prepackaged is measured and entered into MFP. I drink between 6-8 glasses of water a day. I've been carrying extra water weight and it is getting on my nerves. I *know* that I'm making progress, but I'm frustrated with watching my diet…

Heat and diabetes
So my ac just went out. I don't have the money to replace it, and I live in Arizona, where is gets very hot. Been in the 90's in my house these last few days, and it's not even summer yet. How does heat affect diabetes? And are there places that can assist? Thanks.

Fasting BS was 233, and phone app said I needed to go to er?
Why? I wasn't about to, I had to get to work. I know why it was high, and I'm sure it will come down. But why did my app freak out?

Blood sugar after workout was 42?

So confused, sos
I feel like my dr and nutritionist are taking my fasting BS numbers too casually. Plus I have been doing my own research and it is leading to LCHF, or Atkins. I thought I could trust the dr's office, but I think I have to learn on my own, and there is so much that I am overwhelmed and at times want to just say the heck…

Help. Depression tiredness or diabetes?
So I am usually an avid, enthusiastic exerciser. I love a good hard workout, at least I usually do. But these last two evenings, I have been so tired, I came straight home instead of to the gym. I learned about the grieving process last nite, and I am definitely feeling it. But excercise is my go to, my stress reliever,…

My doctor is no help
So I had the bloodwork done, and was diagnosed type 2. The conversation with my doctor went like this: "You have diabetes. Here's your medication." (And yes, my doctor is notorious for handing out free meds. Who complains? lol) He didn't tell me what the numbers were, just that I had to lose weight. I had a follow-up…

Metformin, night shift and fasting numbers
Does anyone else work night shift? I am doing fairly well with lowering my carb intake but I am having trouble with when to take my Metformin. My Dr wasn't much help to be honest. I work 7p-7am(typically I am there at 630a and clock out by 730). My dr told me to take my Met in the evening with something to eat. So this is…

Ok, how obsessive do I have to be about my bloodsugar?
I get frustrated, 'cause it seems like alot of what I read, leaves me with the feeling I can't ever relax about my blood sugar testing. My dr has put me on my meds and has me checking only twice a day. With the price of strips, don't really want to test more often. I kinda like to just do it, and forget about it till next…

Nauseas after four weeks on Metformin
I've been taking Met (1000mg 1 x daily) for a few weeks now and was fine. I've heard that the symptoms are usually in the first week, but I hadn't experienced any symptoms. Now four weeks in, I feel light-headed and nauseas. Has anyone else had this experience, or have suggestions in getting through it? Thanks, Felicia

When you just can't stand to eat...
What do you do when you're feeling unwell and you just can't stand to eat? I'm going on 15 hours since I've last had any food. My sugar is fine (128). How long should you go without eating? And if you are feeling unwell, what things do you try to get down to avoid liver dumps or low blood sugar? This is the first time that…

Been getting alot lately, and today's keep hanging on. Even after taking some Motrin. I don't think it is med related, 'cause I have been on the Metformin for almost a month. Just these seem to be very frequent.

Feedback, Please
I was diagnosed Insulin Resistant in March. The notes on the lab report call it serious. I have always been a' from scratch' cook, so I haven't had to overcome a sugar/ fast food addiction, but I do love my rice, potatoes and pasta! I have eliminated potatoes and rice on Dr.'s orders. When you have the time could some of…

Really scared of excess skin after weight loss :(
Someone talk me away from the edge. Kidding, of course. But I would be lying if I didn't admit how terrified I am at the probability of having excess skin after losing weight. Just thinking about it is so depressing. I'm doing what *I* can to control for it. I'm staying hydrated, eating well, and taking it slow. As much as…

blood sugar crash
Had one today, I tend to eat when I'm hungry, and wasn't at lunch, so I went to the library instead. BIG mistake, I couldn't figure out why I felt so weak just walking around. Then I broke out in a sweat, and it wasn't hot in there. By the time I got checked out, I really felt sick, drove home as quick as I could and…
