Day 55 - Week 8 of reset - I AM NOT LONGER AFRAID!
YUP!! Here I am, Day 55, Week 8 of EM2WL, I have felt all the feelings you can imagine a newbie would feel. And I am convinced...I do not intend to write a stinkin book every time I post in here, but feel like there are some that might benefit from my journey. I have learned some valuable lessons here that I think could…

Newbie with Bodymedia Band
I have been wearing my bodymedia for almost a month now and I love it. My daily burns average about 2124 and my daily food average is 1890 which is an average deficit of 234. I have been stuck at the same weight for all that time, with minor monthly cycle fluctuations. I want to lose about 20 more pounds, should I do a…

Fit Bit and Weight Lifting
I have a new Fit Bit and understand it does not properly calculate weight lifting. I lift 3-4 days a week, for about 45 minutes after a 10 minute warm up. My warm up calculates, but nothing else. Would you recommend manually adding in the weight lifting in MFP (which I know will only approximate calorie burn) or is it best…

Redo Stage...
I have been steadily going through Stage 1 with a few hiccups here & there and various equipment shortages. But have been making do - well I now have a complete gold's gym at home & complete barbell set (previously had another cable weight system). Any way I am on #16 of Stage 1, is the consensus I should redo Stage 1 as I…

In need of encouragement (and a little help)!!
Hi everyone! This is my second week eating more to lose weight and I have a few questions and concerns. First of all, let me say I'm really freaking out:sad: ... just seeing that calorie count go over 1000 BEFORE dinner is a challenge. I'm recovering from an eating disorder (restricting/bingeing/purging) which I luckily…

What's your experience with EM2WL?
Hi all, I've been doing EM2WL since May of 2012. Since then I've done 2 resets, gained 20 pounds and countless inches. I'm the heaviest I've ever been (with the exception of just having a baby). Now FINALLY I'm seeing some results. I've lost 3.25 inches in the past 4 weeks and gained on the scale. I don't really care about…

Another newbie
So I've read through a lot of all your information, and 1 question I don't understand. When doing a reset to your TDEE do you just take the leap for the 8 weeks then reduce to the 15%, or do you slowly add to your daily calorie goal to get to your TDEE reset number? Thanks! Also if anyone has room for a extra friend I…

How long to bulk before cutting (&should i cut at all?)
I lift weights 3 times a week and I don't do any cardio. I have been eating at maintenance forever now (sometimes intentionally and sometimes even after an attempt to cut :P) From last month I increased my calories to 200 calories above TDEE in an attempt to 'bulk' and build muscle. And I see changes in my arms (which have…

Losing steam and motivation...
It has taken me over a year and a half to lose 30+ lbs. I'm seeing people on here able to accomplish this in much less time. Up until now I had been ok with this but now I'm questioning everything. I still feel like I have anywhere between 8-10 lbs to go. I have been everywhere on the calorie spectrum. I started off vlcd…

Love BMF Customer Service
HeyBales has been helping out a lot with my settings in BMF, but for some reason somethings weren't working out as they should. Even when I thought they were, I took a double take and it was once again going back to my original problem. (Not giving me credit for working out.) So I emailed a customer service agent at BMF,…

Would a reset help with adrenals?
I'm asking for my husband. He just got back from Afghanistan and is willing to let me help him feel better. I KNOW he must be feeling very lousy for him to agree to this. I'm also thinking that he has a gluten sensitivity at the least, if not Celiac...though I know he will never get tested. I got a bunch of supplements to…

thinking about hiring WBFF Pro?
Does anyone have any thoughts on whether or not this is a good or bad idea? She is not cheap but referred by Layne Norton. I was thinking it might be useful to have her to help me recover in addition to my counselor...she doesn't require calorie counting or macros- but says it ca be helpful-is this a crazy idea? I'm not…

HeyBales You Were Right
I don't know if you remember me, but I had a huge question about why I needed to switch my height in BMF. Well I think after a long while I finally understood what you were trying to tell me. fitbit tdee 300cals lower than emtwl
I was checking out my fitbit history and it seems my average daily burn (tdee) before adding in exercise is 1400. However in the td ee calculations on scoobys site, based on weight and bodyfat I'm getting 1700 (i have my body fat saved on my fitbit also.) Can I trust my fitbits estimation? Also, for more accuracy, can I…

FINALLY CONVINCED
As I am relatively short and petite I have always stuck to large deficits as I believed that this would be the only (and quickest) way to lose weight. I thought that eating more wold be counter productive and that it would result in my weight loss stalling or even worse, gaining! However, due to unforeseen circumstances I…

Supplements - Should I be Taking Any?
I have a couple questions. 1. I am having a hard time getting enough protein without going over on my fat and sodium for the day. I do use Hemp protein for fruit shakes now and then, but I don't drink them every day. Should I be taking a protein supplement (powder) regularly? 2. Are there other supplements I should be…

HELP- Lots of Reset Weight gain and how to deal mentally
Hi All, I am in week 4 of my metabolic reset. Like most of you, I am coming from a background of caloric restriction off and on since age 13 and for the past year or so I have been strict Paleo. I have had some hormonal imbalances before I started Paleo but when basically only have had 2 period in 14 months since being on…

Recomended "break" and eating at TDEE
I completed an 11 week reset a month ago. I initially started in at a 5% cut, then ramped it up to 10%. Right now I'm eating 1950, and I can't imagine cutting any more because I honestly don't want to eat below that number. The scale isn't budging, my measurements are staying the same, yet my body is definitely changing…

THIS is Why the Scale is NOT Your Friend at the Beginning...
Like a the cat that curiosity killed, this girl got on the scale today after a week of eating right-er than I had been before. Used to, there were days I'd go at 1200 calls a day or less, and I was really just tired. I did my thing and decided to eat...TDEE-10%. It's 1990, give or take a few calories. (I only had 10-15 lbs…
