Sleeved last Wednesday April 13
I was sleeved 4 days ago. Still in a good bit of pain. I am really struggling to stay hydrated . I know this is common. I just didn't realize how difficult it would be to take a pill or drink water. Maybe 2nd week is better?

Night time cravings
I'm about 6 weeks out from RNY and although my physical behaviors are so drastically different than before, I am obviously still working on those mental habits. The worst for me is wanting to eat too much at night. I'm having a hard time fighting the strong urges to snack after about 7 or 8pm. I was wondering if anyone…

Soft mushy foods
I am looking for ideas for diet for weeks 2-8 for myself. All food during that time frame must be liquid, semi-solid, or mash able with a fork. Can anyone give any advice or ideas?

Exercise
I would love to know what everyone is doing for exercise. I am 5 months out from my RNY and I do full body strength training 3 days a week and walk/run/ride bike 3 days a week. I would love to do new things, and especially things that will help burn more Cal.

Taking measurements when you are squishy
This is a little TMI, but heck, I'm figuring we are all dealing with this issue! Today is my 5 month mark since surgery, and I'm really pleased at the progress - 71 pounds since surgery, 101 pounds since I started trying to get healthy. I'm thrilled! But it's left me with a lot of loose skin everywhere, mostly around my…

Pre-WLS party/shower
OK. Please tell me if this is a stupid idea, but I was wondering if anyone has ever had a WLS shower i.e. like a baby shower but instead of celebrating a new baby it is celebrating a new life? I am having my op in May and was thinking about all the great gym clothes I will be able to get into and show off and if my friends…

Holy crap...
Ok. So, about two weeks ago I decided to join Plenty of Fish. WHAT? WHO ARE YOU? I'm tired of sitting home alone. I'm tired of being alone. For the first time in my adult life, I'd actually like a relationship. WHO ARE YOU? I'm almost 42 and thought it's time. Yeah, dating website. Don't know if any of you have tried these…

My surgery has been scheduled for 9-26-16. Now I need to figure out if I want RNY gastric or the sleeve!

Competitive feelings suck
My sister had lap band in 2009 and lost 180 pounds. She has put about 30 back on since then and weighs about 200. I lost about 65 lbs after VSG in 2014, and recently I put about 15 lbs back on. I weigh about 185 right now. So, two weeks ago, I started weight watchers to help me with my mindfulness and get me refocused on…

6 month surgiversary :)
Can't believe it has been 6 months already!! So as of today I have lost 100lbs.... although the last few weeks have been pretty slow. I celebrated my 6 month surgiversary by completing an 1km ocean swim - something I could never have done 12 months ago.

Anyway I am looking for friends who are in the same stage as me surgery last month, this month, or next. Kidney Stones from too much protein??
Hi all, I'm 3 months out today from gvs and doing great weight loss wise, but have just had my second episode with kidney stones in 3 months. Any one else experienced this? It's not fun and I'm petrified to go thru that horrible pain again. I've been fortunate to pass them so far, but I'm worried about what the…

I don't wanna eat!
Soooo, I'm struggling a bit. A few weeks ago, I found that I was getting hungry so I added veggies. Now, I just don't wanna eat. It is really difficult to make myself want to eat my food. I'm trying yummy new recipes, and I sit down with my food and 100% don't want it. I have to make myself continue to finish the meals…

Do any with VSG experience dumping?
I'm really having a hard time the past couple weeks. I discovered early on that I can't tolerate too much sugar at once. A small taste here or there is fine. The last 2 weeks I've been having a lot of cramping and diarrhea. I'm not taking in sugar and the only thing I can think of might be a protein shake I'm trying to…

Exercise in the weeks immediately after op..
Hi everyone, I am having an RnY op next month and am worried about losing my fitness. Basically I have gone from being so disabled by being sedentary that I could walk to the end of the block to building up to where I am now- going for a couple mile walk (power walking) a few times a week, swimming, aqua aerobics, zumba…

Finding your "style" after losing a lot of weight
When I started this whole process, I weighed 386 lbs. My objective when shopping was to find something that fit, and things that would match. I never even considered style, mainly just function, and lets face it, the bigger you get, the less stylish the clothes are. Granted, the plus size clothing industry is trying, but…

forgot food for work :/
I have cottage cheese here, but I can't eat that all day :( I have babybel light cheese wheels here. They said no cheese until 6 weeks out, if I chew it to complete mush do you think I will be ok? Otherwise cottage cheese it is all day!

Think egg drop soup is ok at almost 4 weeks out?
I know the broth part is ok. Not sure about the egg portion.

It's been a long time
Since I've posted here. Still logging, but other activities have me spending time elsewhere. I reached my goal and surpassed it at 10 months out (sept 2015 - sleeved 11/14) and been maintaining. I lost 150lbs with pre-op diet (never liquid only) and post sleeve. Size 24/26 or 2XL/2XL to a 4/6/8/S depending on the brand and…

How do you stay mentally focused during a stall?
I'm about 3 1/2 months past my surgery, and I've officially hit my first stall. I haven't dropped a single pound in two weeks, and the week before that, I only lost one pound. It's pretty maddening, as I'm following the program exactly. I know stalls happen, I know I just need to keep working at it, but as the days tick by…

I'm down 10% this morning!!!!
I'm not going to make my original March goal of hitting 215, but weighing in this morning at 221.2 means I have lost 10% since starting my 2 week prep!!! I don't feel very different yet but people are noticing :)
