My Story - 7years out & -200lbs ( Gastric Bypass)
Hi everyone! I just wanted to quickly share my story! I have been overweight my whole life. By the time I hit middle school I was 240 and by the time I was in high school 260. Graduated at 290 pounds. I have the same story as a bunch of kids who grew up fat. I got made fun of, I was shy, insecure, miserable. When I was 18…

Miserable
*WARNING TMI AND GROSS* I'm 2 days shy of 9 months post-VSG. So...about a month ago I weaned myself off my acid reducer. Have had ZERO problems. ZERO. Until last night. Over the weekend, I made braised short ribs. Last night, we ate leftovers. We ate late, and it was WAY TOO SALTY (sat in the fat and pancetta for days) and…

Lapband to Sleeve, scared anyone else have it done?
I got my lapband December 2010, worse thing I have ever did. Had problems from day one. I always threw up. Did get my weight down about 20 pounds than gained right back plus. How do you log the exercise "1 hour with evil personal trainer"?
It sounds funny because my personal trainer is truly evil. He believes in "complete burnout" so I am usually jello for the rest of the day after one of his sessions. But, the scale is moving again so I won't complain. Seriously though, how do you log 1 hour of personal training? I do so many things during a session, there…

Hi. I'm new.
Hi. I'm Noel. I had gastric bypass in June of 2015 and have lost 130 pounds so far but still need to lose at least another 65. I have stalled and have started to fall into bad habits again. So afraid of failing because I had so many complications from this surgery. I really just need some support and friends. Thanks

Bad Idea: whey protein powder in coffee
Had the bright idea this morning to add my French vanilla whey protein powder into my decaf coffee, thinking it would be like a high-protein vanilla latte. Yum, right? Couldn't have been more wrong. The protein clumped up on itself and the first mouthful was like vanilla mocha sand. G-R-O-S-S! Thought I'd share this…

Cardio Exercises for Bad Knees
So I recently got a gym membership and I thought I was going slow enough. I have never been a runner of any sort and I have now lost enough weight that I could start adding in some jogging to my normal treadmill routine. I would just do some jogging for a minute or two at a time, a couple times during my workout. I think I…

Can't close food diary & need friends
I have found I can't close any of my food diaries because my intake is less than 1000/day. Has anyone found a way around around this? I also was sleeved this past Monday 7/18/16. I'm looking for friends in all parts of the walk, beginning, middle or maintenance. Sorry if this is a repeated question. Thanks!!!

Help...
I had my RNY 12/15 and I've gained back 30lbs. I went through a difficult time and turned to eating what I shouldn't. I fear I've stretched my pouch. How can I get back on track? I'm devastated and I've let myself down. Any advice would be appreciated.

Questions about post op diet!
Help needed! I had my lap band surgery on July 6th 2016. Since then i have been living off of water, G2 Gatorade, 6-8 oz chicken broth and 1 little cup of sugar free jello each day and I have only lost a pound and a half. I have been walking at least 30 minutes a day on the treadmill and trying to stay active. I would be…

Long time sleevers....do you still take meds for acid reflux?
I'm only 6 months out and my doc wants me to start weaning off Prilosec. I've been taking it 1x a day since surgery. I started taking it every other day, ended up getting sick (unrelated to weaning off) and i could feel the burn in my chest. So I started back to 1x a day, no more burn. I was curious if you have been able…

More room at the end of the day?
I am just shy of a year out from RNY and coming very close to a normal BMI for my height. I have been working out 4-10 hours a week (cardio and strength) since the beginning of January...which includes adding quite a few running miles in the last couple of months. So, I totally expected it when I started experiencing more…

I never get tired of...
...seeing the extra belt on an airplane! I travel for work and hated having to use a seat belt extender. It started out just a plane here and there with shorter belts. When I started needing one on every flight, it was a driving force for me to finally commit to the life change and to get weight loss surgery.

How do you manage your macros?
Hi all! I had VSG 4/26/16. I am having a hard time getting enough protein or calories or both without getting too much fat. My current goals are 60 grams protein and 700 calories. I'm just hoping for suggestions on what to eat... I currently eat a lot of egg whites, beef jerky, tuna w/light mayo, ground turkey, chicken…
