Pre op sleever
Hey all! I have decided to get the gastric sleeve to have a permanent weight loss tool in place since I haven't been able to keep weight off for the past...ok since birth. So I am in the very early stages, was just approved B) and will have my dietary visit in a couple weeks. I want to get the weight loss ball rolling…

Onederland
I can't believe it! I reached a number today I never, ever thought I'd see again - 199. That's 88 pounds lost since my 11/16/15 surgery, and 118 pounds since I began this journey. I am 5'11, and "large framed," so my ideal weight is right around 175. I can't believe that I might actually reach this number--something I…

Question about Sugar Cravings and Bad Days
Question: After I was sleeved in April, like most people, I didn't have much of an appetite and I didn't crave sweets. This probably would have continued but on May 26th, I had a bad day. I had weeks of a weight stall and decided I would eat whatever I wanted. My stomach is still small so I couldn't eat much but I had…

Gah! Regain.
So I had a bad bought of depression that lasted about a year. I've been doing much better for about 6 months but now I have to start dealing with this 45 lbs regain. Any tips other than just getting back to my doctor prescribed eating?

Hello
Hi, I'm new to the group, I had RNY in 2005. SW was 300, today 209. I know this sounds like whining & I should be grateful for keeping it off but I'm so disappointed in myself for not getting to goal (145). I'm starting again, I also have PN so running and kickboxing (which I really wanted to do) are out. So it's the…

Completed my 1st 5k today (6 months post op)
Today I completed my first 5k I was terrified, I was so emotional standing there at the start. Thinking about the last 6 months 116lbs lost and how far I have come. It's hard to believe some days. Today I did it, today I truly realized what I have accomplished!

Libido
Hey everyone, this is my first post in this forum. I am nervous about posting, so please bear with me. I am 8 months post op, and before surgery I had a healthy sex drive. Now, and for probably the last 3 months it is basically non-existent. I know most people have a surge after surgery and I had hoped mine would as well.…

Migraines
Good morning everyone! When I was 19 I was diagnosed with migraines. Several MRIs over the years have shown their activity while diagnosing the migraines as idiopathic. When I was in my 30s I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. It affects only 1 in 100,000 people, 20 in 100,000 are obese. As I yo-yo'd…

Sugar Intolerance ? for anyone
Hi - I had the sleeve 11/2015. I know with RNY you may get dumping. What level of carbs/sugar do you have to stay under to avoid it? I think I have an intolerance to sugar and haven't been able to pinpoint the level where it makes me ill yet. Thanks!

Longer distance running after RNY...
...anyone doing it? I'm regularly running 10km. I logged 40km last week and going for 50km this week. I think my husband and I are headed for a half marathon at the end of the year but I'm concerned about running for 2+ hours without refueling in some way and it seems that most options are too sugary. I've been very…

Gym Tips
Hey everyone. I just recently joined a public gym for the first time. I have used the gym at my college prior to this, which was almost always empty. I was wondering if anyone had any helpful tips for navigating a busy gym and hints into gym etiquette. Anything you wish you knew before you started going to the gym? Or…

Fitbit Blaze - Likes/Dislikes?
I am thinking of upgrading to the fitbit blaze. My flex and charge work fine but the blaze seems to look a little better. The pictures of it seem to look a little better with work clothes. Anyone out there have one? Likes/Dislikes about the functionality of the blaze? Are the pictures deceiving or is it a nicer looking…

TMI, sickness :/
I woke up this morning to horrid rumblings down below and the toilet and I have been bffs all day. No fever, I'm drinking water but I've only had two saltines today. I also ache from my bra line to my knees like I ran a flipping marathon, almost to the point of tears. Another friend at work has similar issues today.…

Hello everyone! I was sleeved Aug 2015 but started my weightloss journey last February. My highest weight was 298 pounds. On the day of my surgery I weighed 242. Currently I'm between 165-169. I've been stalled for 2 months. I'd like to lose 10-15 mote pounds. I'd love mfp buddies that I can get tips and advice from and…

Week 4 and haven't lost any weight in 14 days....but.....
Ok so I've written about this before because I have been stuck at the same weight for 14 days. I am only 4 weeks post op and no where near goal. I had my 4 week follow up today. Although there was no weight loss, my doc reviewed my food journals and exercise log. Again she told me that I needed to get calories up and maybe…
