Find a program you like and you'll stick with it! I love my home workouts, they keep me hitting the goals! you CAN do it!

Gotta have goals, I'm in :) Not sure I can do 12 lbs by x-mas, but hey - don't know until you try!
-
I plan ahead and get organized :) Pick and plan my workouts ahead of time (generally follow at-home programs due to lack of gym time) and follow a meal plan too. You CAN do it!
-
I'm doing the same - welcome :)

Welcome!

Welcome :) We all need a reset sometimes, a new program or forum to get closer to our goals, and MFP is a GREAT place for that! You're going to do great!
-
Welcome back - I did the same thing... was away for several months & just started back!

Being fit and healthy for my family is my #1 goal too! Start along and stick with it, before you know it... You'll have your "After" picture to be proud of!

I'm a firm believer that as long as whatever *extra* you're putting in your body is as clean and unprocessed as possible (no refined sugar, possibly raw, possibly organic) you can add in a few calories daily (like 200-300). Seriously, I eat spinach by the handfuls with lemon and a tiny dash of sea salt. Cucumbers, celery…

I'm at 1520 but naturally, regularly come in around 1,200-1,300 based on my nutrition plan :) there are so many great things you can put in your body that can account for each of them... I feel like if we just try to eat as healthy and clean as possible (little chemical, little refined sugar, etc.) if you're at 1,200 or…

Just get in motion and start putting more heart-healthy foods in your body. Your doctor or a nutritionist will help you decide what nutrition/supplements are good for you/need for you to heal. The human body is an amazing thing, and the mind, when it believes in healing will be a driving force! Day by day.

You're going to do great... Every success comes in small increments. Do you best every day and start again the next. Welcome!
-
Welcome - I'm getting going with it again too :)

My kiddos are older now, but I've been there too - and had my boys (who are 10 and 11 now) 17 months apart (whooooops!) I have had some great success with a couple different at-home programs. The key is finding a couple of things you like to do and sticking with them, rotating them, and being careful not to get bored :)…

I hear you! At-home exercise is actually my favorite, but it took a while for me to find a program that I loved, that I wanted to do pretty much every day; but since I have found actually a couple that I do love, it's easy now! Hey, also if you have a Facebook account, feel free to send me a friend request there too - I…

Nice work! Welcome :)

Welcome :) You're in the right place to find ideas that'll work for you... running and high impact don't have to be answer either! I do run, and like it (self-torture I guess) but it isn't by any means my main method of fitness... I love PiYo and Yoga - so much good, hard work and great results. Anyway, you're going to do…
-
Welcome - you're in the right place for accountability & motivation. Nice work on the incremental goals (10 lbs at a time!)
-
well, as long as the calories you consume are fairly clean... nutritious, not loaded with sugar or chemicals, I'd say go for the 1,200 :) You wan to give your body enough to work with as you build muscle and lose weight.
-

So, lots of people go through the same (out of breath, tired, etc. when starting out or pushing it hard).
