I haven’t weighed for around 6months to year maybe? It just wasn’t working for me personally- I measure progress now by the fit of my clothes and how I feel. Too many times I weighed in, excited for results, then crushed when it wasn’t what I wanted….then the cycle of binging and going crazy on calories would continue. I…

Honestly?? I used to weigh every week, but it was really messing with my mind state and mentally messing me up.. so now, I actually never weigh in... just go on how my clothes are feeling... for me personally, this has worked out much better

I'll probably never have revealed abs or anything but I'd sure be happy with a tighter tummy..sitting at 21% body fat ATM so I still have a ways to go..but I'm finally just letting it happen now, no more "belly fat blasting" diets, compounds, potions, tinctures, herbs, magic spells, etc.. lol.

Looks like we need to bump. How long did it take for some of you to see your flat stomach? I'm 5 weeks in, trying to look forward to the next mini milestone of two months :)
-
No way ahead but forward!! You can totally do this!!

Check to make sure MFP isn't trying to sync to s health or apple health as well as Fitbit. When I told mfp to forget about s health that fixed it for me. If not then I'm not sure and sorry if it doesn't work!

Machines are always far too generous, before I had a good HRM(which is still only an estimate just a closer to truth estimate) I used to count half the calories the machine "gave" me and then I didn't eat them back to be safe lol. This worked for me when I first started and hopefully can work for you too!

You look great to me :) step one: never give up! We are our own worst enemies!
-
That is awesome- we just gotta stick with it, it's obviously working!! Personally I'm thinking I'm going to swear off the scale except for once a month lol. That way I won't get all depressed if it's not moving how I want it to. Just keep building weights up for lifting and magic will happen!! We got this!!!

Classic rock.. 60's, 70's .. oh yesss

I first started exercise doing cardio only and I lost pounds like crazy, but I wasn't happy with just being a smaller version of fat me(if that makes sense lol)..so like you, I also started lifting heavy almost 3 months ago. It has been very difficult for me to not get defeated by the scale! My weight definitely plateaus a…

Pickles!! Celery!! Those stupid rice cake thingies- I know they aren't like ... typical yummy snacks, but they are crunchy and extremely low calorie so that it wouldn't wreck your deficit!! I know celery can be challenging but I use a Greek yogurt based dressing(way lower in calories per serving) to help jazz it up :) or…

I can not speak for all places but I used to work in a fast food joint back in the day, and we could not refill the customers' bottles, cups, etc because of OSHA and multiple food safety policy constraints. We also weren't allowed to throw people's old cups away when they asked us to at the drive through window....that…

I can understand wanting to lose it so fast. I've done it all.. stupid cleanses..vlcd...dexatrim(lol...)-starving myself... Please try to slow down and accept that it's very bad for your body and mind to try to lose the weight that fast. I was only successful after I finally learned patience with my diet and nutrition. Be…

Totally cosigning this one ☝️ but will also add that as you keep doing it, it will start feeling like it's not enough because you're getting stronger and more efficient..that's what happened to me anyways when I had a similar start up routine :)

I gained 10 pounds when I went home to California for vacation lol... it was only 9 days.. but there's no food like food from home, know what I mean!? I wanted to fully enjoy my vacation, and when I returned I went right back on my little lifting and calorie counting program and burned it all away again in just under a…

I like to have a 100-170ish calorie snack before... like others here said, it really helps me keep focused on doing work and not being all whiney wussy cus hunger demons invading me lol
-
Same thing happening to me too...
-
Tall, dark hair, and a beard... not some baby beard either, epic beard
-
Short term goal: get pants to being comfy again! (I will not go up any sizes!) Non-scale goal: want to cosplay as Wonder Woman at my next con, and look awesome and strong!

Annnnnd OP disappears...lol

I like the way it makes me feel. I have tons of energy and I hardly ever get sick!! All from making healthier choices and exercising.
-
If you're not hungry on wake up (I understand, I've never been a breakfast person) just try eating something small, the fruit should help!
-
Could possibly be less hydrated upon waking up and hitting cardio. Are you eating a snack or drinking anything before you start? I always have some coffee and 100-200 calorie snack about 20 minutes before I jump in and get the old ticker pumping!
-
Everyone here seems to have their own special little definition of "clean eating". I personally do count calories, because when I don't I fall off the wagon and start gaining weight again :| I just try to keep at healthier whole foods as best I can because they allow me to eat more ;) oh and I also believe coffee is a…

I'd watch it, if someone else saw that's their problem for being nosy nannies! If someone got offended, I wouldn't be surprised. There's too many delicate little snowflake wussies in this world.. But chances are, random person looking would be a fan too, then you can both cry over #HoldTheDoor :'( :'(

I have been off and on the wagon so many times. Fads, starvation, you name it I've probably tried it. The thing that finally worked for me was stopping to realize that it is not instant. It takes time, patience, and dedication. It was just over a month of meticulous calorie counting in conjunction with regular exercise…

I would share my befores but I can't find them :'( you're gonna do great though! For me mfp was the first step to changing me and then my life :)
