  • I started as a 42GG, was up in the J/K range for a while because my band size decreased faster than the boobs themselves, and now I'm a 34F. If you saw me clothed (there's a good comparison pic in my profile, actually), you'd think I didn't lose my boobs at all but they've lost volume and shape big time. Without a bra the…
  • I've lost around 85 lbs. since 2012 (detailed weight loss story in my profile if you're curious.) I've been running for a year and a half and started strength training about 8 weeks ago. I just noticed this morning that the loose skin and fat on my stomach seems to look better. It's still not perfect, but there's…
  • Why not buy plain yogurt and mix in your own fruit + sweetener? That's what I do.
  • The usual:* 30g romaine lettuce * 30g spinach * 50g tomatoes * 70g cucumber * 5 oz chicken breast * 3 tbsp. Ken's Steakhouse Lite Strawberry Vinaigrette Somehow I never get tired of it.
  • I had to walk a new faculty member across campus to pick up his keys and was unable to maintain a conversation with him because I was breathing too hard. We weren't even walking that quickly. It was mortifying to be huffing and puffing and sweating the whole time; I hated how I felt and how horribly unfit I was and vowed…
  • I've been drinking a pitcher of iced green tea per day for years (brewed with stevia, not the store-bought kind) and nothing special has happened weight wise.
  • Daily, unless I know I'm not being as good about tracking as I should be... then I avoid the scale like the plague. Daily keeps me honest.
  • I use SweetLeaf stevia packets in hot beverages and SweetLeaf liquid in cold stuff like iced tea and greek yogurt.
  • This may seem overly anal, but I've weighed every single pot and pan I own in grams and have the list of weights posted on my refrigerator. When I make a recipe that makes several servings, I weigh the entire thing, subtract the weight of the pot and divide by the number of servings. That gives me the exact weight of each…
  • Same thing happened here! For now I've doubled up on socks inside my boots and closed shoes. I had to buy all new pumps and sandals, though. For me, the biggest surprise is how easily the weight comes off if I TRULY commit myself to eating within my calorie range. Every time I "stall" it's been because I've eaten foods…
  • My waist/upper mid-section is large in proportion to the rest of me. I'm 5'6", around 172 and I'm comfortably in size 12 dress pants (could probably wear a size 10 in jeans if they're low rise) and I recently needed a size 16 blazer (I wanted it to button.) My shoulders, arms, hips and legs could easily fit in an 8 - 10.
  • I've lost around 85 lbs. and have gone from a 40G to a 34G. My current cup size is deceiving... they've definitely shrunk and I've lost just about all of my breast volume. I only need the G cup because the excess skin where my boobs used to be still needs a place to go :/
  • I use either 2% or full fat Fage and mix in fresh blueberries or strawberry slices, some liquid stevia and a dash of vanilla extract. The 2% is still a little tangy, but with full fat it tastes to me like berries with whipped cream.
  • I more have a goal body fat %... I want to get down to 20 - 22% and then evaluate how I look and feel.
  • Vermont Creamery also makes it, so try the locator on their website to see if anyone near you sells it. I liked it, but I didn't like it enough to justify driving 30 minutes one way to buy it. If my normal store ever carries it I might switch over to that from Fage, but for now greek yogurt works just fine for snacks.
  • I usually figure 2 - 3 tbsp of marinade for a 6 oz. portion and call it good. I don't think I use as much as a cup to begin with, though; more like half a cup and I suck the air out of the gallon-sized bag I'm marinating it in so the entire surface is covered.
  • Yes. I tried it in April 2014 and by the end of the summer I was running 3 miles a few times a week. I quit over the winter and pulled it back out this past May. Today I ran my first half marathon. Oh, and I'm 46 yrs old, 5'6" and when I started in May I weighed 195 lbs. I'm currently in the low 170s, so it works even for…
  • Is there such a thing as a control thong? Commando is comfy and all, but I have loose skin and excess fat over my c-section scar and going with nothing at all isn't particularly attractive. I'd love underwear that will hold that in up front while not giving me lines in the back. Yes, I want miracles!
  • I've been trying to hold off, but lately my work outfits have become really frumpy looking... they're just too loose to be flattering. Today I resorted to a black Michael Jackson-style jacket with velvet trim from the 80s that I've been hanging on to for use at Halloween (I've been too large to fit into it until now.) When…
  • Road, although I've found I strongly dislike running in the dark... the crisp air is nice, but I miss having scenery to look at (and the woods are slightly creepy in full dark.)
  • Baked lemon parmesan cod, green beans sauteed with garlic and olive oil and baked sweet potatoes. Dessert was an experiment: SF instant vanilla pudding, canned pumpkin + pumpkin pie spice and a few tablespoons of heavy cream. I liked it!
  • I have some pieces that I'd like to have tailored if I can, so I'm holding onto them for now. The rest get donated as soon as I start looking frumpy when I wear them.
  • I just can't take Chrissy seriously.
  • I've had success mixing a scoop of protein into hot oatmeal. I do 1/3 cup oats and 8 oz. almond milk, then once the oatmeal's cooked I stir in the powder. I use casein, though; I'm not sure how vegetable protein's texture would be. You might not need as much liquid (casein mixes pretty thick on its own.)
  • Congrats! I'm also down 85 lbs... race ya to the end! ;)
  • I buy a brand that's really thin and flat and I use 'em to make sandwiches. They don't have a whole lot of nutrition to them, but neither does gluten free bread, really, and I can have 3 little sandwiches on the cakes as compared to 1 little sandwich on GF bread for roughly the same number of calories, carbs and fiber.
  • I bring a 200g bag of baby carrots in every day and open 'em up when I get the 3:00 munchies. The crunch gets me through the cravings.
  • It was always sausage and peppers, and sugar-covered fried dough for me. Celiac disease has put the kibosh on that, sadly, but boy do I remember those both fondly <3
  • Bingo. I've always hated the taste of plain cow's milk... I remember refusing to drink it when it was provided during snack in kindergarten. I much prefer the taste of almond/coconut milk blend. I eat enough dairy otherwise and have milk so infrequently that the nutrition aspect of it isn't even on my radar.
