Hi Meeka :] If you're having problems with motivation, simply take a moment to log into MFP. Maybe just to browse the community! Hopefully this'll help you stay on track - it really helped me! :)

Hi Penny! :) Good luck!

You are doing amazingly well - Keep up the great work! :)

You are absolutely 100% spot-on with everything you say. You will most certainly succeed. :)

My tummy was where I held a lot of my weight. As the pounds dropped, it came from everywhere (You can't spot reduce, unfortunately) and gradually my tummy wasn't as 'wobbly' as it was before. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll notice the difference eventually - I'd suggest taking measurements each month to track your…

Hi Birkleigh - I am in ED recovery. I was never 'underweight' but I have recently gained about 12 pounds so I'm sitting at the high end of healthy. I want to lose around 7-10 pounds to be comfortable but I know I have to tread very carefully and be very aware of how I'm feeling throughout this process. I just wanted to…

Hi Henrietta - Good luck reaching your goals :)
-
You can do it! Great progress so far, well done :)

Have a look at the 'Maintaining Weight' section of this site - there is lots of useful tips for maintaining! I found it quite useful when I was transitioning to maintenance to see how others were finding it. :)

You can do this! :)

Hi :] I'm also in the UK! Sorry to hear your partner isn't supportive - it can be really difficult 'going it alone' but know that you've got plenty of support here. We are all aiming to reach our goals, so take comfort from that. Wishing the best of luck!

I'm 5'2 - Sedentary full time job but worked out 4 times a week (Strength mainly - a little cardio). I lost 0.5lb per week on 1500 a day. I personally found 1200 too low for me. I can only advise you to do trial and error - you'll know for sure by putting your plan in to action. See how you get on with 1600 - increase or…

I know it sounds a bit 'simple' but sometimes it doesn't need to be complicated. Perhaps try eating a little later - maybe an hour or two before bedtime and ensure your evening meal consists of some good protein sources. If you notice you're a little peckish before bed, have a granola bar or a piece of fruit :)

I ate at a sensible deficit and lost around 11 pounds in my first month! If I remember correctly, six of those pounds were in the first week alone (Water weight). Remember, your rate of loss will depend on a few factors - your starting weight being one of them as well as the size of your deficit. Your losses will be very…

When I used a personal trainer, he told me this very thing too "Change up your work out or your body will get used to what it's doing". Back then, I was weight training so I imagine he was referring to upping my weights so as to continue challenging my muscles. I generally exercise at the moment to keep up my calorie…

Glad to hear it's all sorted now! :)

Go get it! :)

I make an effort to exercise for 25 minutes each day. I too have a 'busy life' but what is 25 minutes in the grand scheme of things? I do 'home-work out's' - usually Shaun T DVD's (At the moment, I am doing his T25 programme). They are FANTASTIC! :)

Wishing you the very best of luck reaching your goals :) Ease up on the 'deadline' - you don't need to be putting unnecessary pressure on yourself. Just know that you'll do this.

Hi Hope :] Good luck!

Well done on the first pound! :)

Wow - Such amazing progress! :)

I *know* you can do this. You have the right attitude and you are inspiring, honest and very positive. We'll be here cheering you on along the way. Think how different your life will be a year from now. Best of luck :)

You have made such amazing progress :)

Hi Tanya :] What helped me 'stay on track' was simply logging into MFP once a day. Sometimes just to browse the community, sometimes just to 'check over' my diary. This routine helped me keep an eye on my goal and stopped me wanting to over-eat. You can do this.

Congratulations on the new baby :) Wishing you the best of luck reaching your goals!

I have a full time office job and if I'm honest I don't want to spend hours each evening working out. I discovered Shaun T's "T25" programme which are basically home work-out's for 25 minutes a time. This has personally helped me stick to exercise whilst maintaining a busy life. There are many options like this available -…

My advice? Stop looking for 'the right things' to eat. There is a reason why you 'yoyo' and my guess would be it's because your plan isn't sustainable to begin with. Me? I HATE fruit and I'm not wildly keen on vegetables. All that is important for weight loss is your calories in/calories out. Enter your stats into the MFP…

Hi :] It may seem daunting - but you've taken the first step and sometimes that is the hardest part of this whole process. I would strongly suggest breaking the 160 pounds in to smaller increments (Example: 7 pounds a month or whatever works for you and your lifestyle)! Make sure you celebrate each individual goal with…
