i do alot more exericse than i realized and if i ate more carbs on days i exercise, i would eat lots of carbs every day. :s

our soy milk is non-GMO and soy proteins are up for debate. at some level they are healthy (esp since daughter & i both have MTHFR)

i have been like that too. one day, i ended up eating a total of 900 calories and that was FORCED. another day, i had over 1800. it had nothing to do with my carb ratios, either. i'm not sure :|

i had two nights this week where i drank alot of wine & ate beef lo mein for dinner. i had to start a new med, and i can't drink alcohol while i'm on it, so it was my last "hooray" for wine. i gained 2 lbs. so keep that in mind when you drink your shake. (and i say WHEN because i know you're going to drink one!)

typically twice. although i might log foods under snacks, they might be included in one of my meals. if i stick to very low carb, i am usually not hungry at all, even when i know i should eat.

i was just watching a program with dr. hyman and he was recommending resistance starches such as potato starch. i haven't looked into it yet.

LAST NIGHT! LOL i'm allergic to soy, so i was breaking-out in hives, and i am allergic to wheat, and i ate lo mein noodles. i'm an idiot. LOL :D

i got one for my birthday in november and i use it almost every day. i LOVE it. i got the most expensive one (was a gift) and it is really worth the money. (of course, it wasn't MY money! LOL) it is a great way to get-in greens, and i can also make my protein shakes. it is FAR better than any blender i've ever owned.

^^ the above is NEW to most people. we have been DRILLED in our heads our ENTIRE Lives that we must have carbs - and LOTS OF THEM! they make-up the entire bottom of the "food pyramid" so they must be necessary, right??!! i think the reason people ask is probably out of general curiosity. they might want to know more but don't know how to ask you about it, or they might assume it's for medical reasons because that is all they have ever heard. i think you're in a great position to educate people.

thank you for your reply!!! i am starting it tomorrow and i'm really scared. my sister-in-law is on it, but she is someone who doesn't watch her diet or "care" about weight gain, so she is the only gauge i have and she is very overweight.

i think that is easy to say and not so easy to live. i was at my healthiest weight/frame/strength/overall health and then i got pregnant. i gained 25 pounds almost instantly (within 3 months) and then lost my baby. i had to have surgery, then another surgery 2 months later. the pounds kept piling on. now, it's been 3 years…

i have 7% carbs as my goal, but MFP only allows me to input 5%, but of course when i go to the nutrition section after i log everything, i can see my % and make sure i am at or near 7%. i ended up putting my calorie goal as 2100 calories so that i won't "go over" every day.
