Being able to easily copy and paste a recipe into MFP and track it was life-changing. I love to cook, so I can see logging forever, since it means I can cook and eat whatever I or my family want to eat.

My weight trends up when I do not track food. Really happy I found mfp.

There is a website, My Body Gallery, "what real women look like," --you can search by height and weight and see that it varies A LOT.

Wow...wishing you the best! I agree with practicing your portioning before you go. When there, can you check your body weight regularly and then adjust accordingly?

The posts about oatmeal made me think of suggesting adding canned pumpkin to ostmeal. So good! Add fresh grated nutmeg, other pumpkin spice. (Maybe it has been mentioned already. )

nope. I went into minus yesterday, but I do not call it a cheat day.

I cook from Budget Bytes dot com or you can try any site you like; copy & paste the website into your Recipes tab. It is super convenient. Just make sure you decide on the total number of servings and serving size.

I find myself smiling after a class- so I agree with Marvin above.

Welcome!

I endorse all the posts here. Also one minus of ww that affected me in a most undesirable way (for all the reasons so ably mentioned by dhiammarath) is that they will change the points formula every few years, whereas mfp will ( I hope) ( or some calorie based database) will be available and consistent.

Very helpful thread!

Thank you for sharing. I have felt this way, too. There was recently a success story thread on reddit where the man said, "my body is the tool I use to live my life." I find that very motivating.

I am a home cook and eat 99% of meals at home. Intuitive eating leads to weight gain for me. Now that I weigh, measure, and track with MFP I am a lot calmer, happier, less depressed, like what I am making and eating, and heading toward my goal. To maintain, I plan to continue.

Do you track your food? That really helps me.

OP- you are doing great. We all need encouragement once in a while. You are a suceess!

The good news is, MFP is working. What *is* working for you all?
