Usually lunch for me. My work/school day starts at 7 am and ends at 5:30 pm so I use lunch to keep me going in those slow afternoons. About once a week I’ll have Starbucks coffee and food for breakfast and that ends up being my biggest meal that day and once a week I eat out for dinner so that ends up bigger, but it’s…

Thanks for the advice! I'll just use the highest entries I can for fried rice using panda express and the highest wing entry for the wings using buffalo wild wings. I would rather over estimate than under estimate!!

I don't think I have to eat them. I already eat what I normally would like to. But being real, a lot of stuff doesn't make sense to fit into my normal daily calorie allowance. I would never eat a typical restaurant meal during the everyday because it makes more sense to use all those calories for more food that I like at…

I guess I was going for more how I was at that age. I was very logical and aware of my surroundings and I wanted it to feel like a child saying their thoughts out loud to a person, kind of. Reading it back, it does sound more robotic, not so story telling. I just really want to capture the innocent and simple, yet…

I was looking for it to be shorter since the school's paper is for short stories only, but I do feel like it jumps around. I think I may add shorter paragraphs for a few between ages though. Thank you!
-
Not really lol, why do you think that? What would I add in there to make it dystopian?
-
I thought since it's from a child's point of view (a child raised in Louisiana and Texas) it would be a bit simpler, not so descriptive. Are you saying to take those words out or add more to it?

For everyone saying it is spam. The story is loosely based off a friend's childhood, so I'd like critique as to how I can make the story seem more real, more emotional, since I didn't experience it myself. I am 5 years old, and today the cops are at the door. They say my daddy has died. Ms. Donna is sad. The cops take us…

I wasn't aware that my link wasn't an open link, I use Google docs to submit all of my essays online and no teacher has ever said anything. The only reason I was rude was because he corrected the grammar of my comment instead of explaining why he would rather not open my link. To all of you saying I don't want critique: I…
-
How does that make it spam? I can copy and paste it in text here if that makes it easier. Why are you all being so rude?
-
Then couldn't you have said that? Then I would have understood why it isn't being read. Bit rude
-
I've posted to several different forums. I want critiques from all types of people, so I posted my story in the chit chat forum of this site
-
Why would he correct the grammar of my comment? I asked for critique on the short story I wrote

Congratulations! You know basic grammar and have practiced it in an online forum, where grammar isn't important! Here's your award!

Any one? You don't have to be an expert

I like a lean cuisine over Uncle Ben's 90 second long grain and wild rice or with a sweet potato microwaved for 7 minutes and mashed up with butter and cinnamon, or I'll do some canned black beans with shredded mozzarella cheese and uncle ben's rice, or a hungry girl sandwich thin with some chicken deli meat and sliced…

Thanks yall! I think I will start off with like 3 classes a week like middlehaitch suggested!
-
Thanks for your input! I figured it would be like packaged food accuracy. I should have about 170 calories left after dinner tonight so hopefully that will take care of any discrepancies

Maybe try picking up a hobby? Coloring in the adult coloring books, reading, knitting, any hobby really. I find that helps me when I go to comfort eat.

You could make meals that can be modified for each person. Like make spaghetti, but keep the sauce in one pot and the noodles in another. And maybe make some salad and garlic bread with it. So you can have just a bit of noodles and more sauce and the salad. Your kids can have a bit of everything and your husband can have…

Not the same, but I teach 12 3 year olds by myself at a daycare for 9 hours a day. I find myself super exhausted at the end of the day. I workout in the morning and food prep EVERYTHING on Sundays. Like I weigh and package and log all my meals and snacks for each day. I go to bed earlier, around 9 or 10, and wake up early…

I love light sargento string cheese, yoplait light yogurt, Apple slices, pear slices, quest bars, strawberry slices, rice cakes, slices of mozzarella or pepperjack cheese, and thinly sliced lunch meats like ham and turkey

Thanks for all the help you guys! I downloaded a step tracker app (though not sure about the accuracy of it lol) and I've kept my phone in my pocket all day to track my steps. I've been up since 7:30 and it's now 12 and I'm at 4068 steps, although 30 minutes were spent sitting in the car in the way to work, so 4068 steps…

If you're not vegan, then what are you eating when you've been "mostly raw" for 2 weeks?
-
Oh and protein bars are great too! I love the Questbars cuz they're all gluten free and taste good! With 21 grams of protein
-
For breakfast I normally have a fruit smoothie or gluten free pancakes topped with strawberries and syrup (I'm allergic to wheat) or a 2 egg omelet with spinach and cheese For morning snack I have a fruit cup or rice cake or fresh fruit For lunch I have something like black beans, corn, and chicken wrapped in big lettuce…

I was always super tiny as a kid (60 pounds at 5 feet fall in 5th grade). I was 5'4 and 105 pounds at the end of 7th grade. 5'4 and 120 pounds at the end of 8th grade. 5'4 and 140 pounds at the end of 9th grade. Stayed near 145 through 10th grade. 5'4 and nearly 170 pounds halfway through 11th grade. Lost down to 150 in…
