Great job! Can you share your way of eating? What are your macros in MFP and how many meals per day? I need the inspiration. Thanks, and well done!

So, it's very encouraging to hear that people our age can lose weight. The success stories are great. But what I want to know now is, "How did you all lose the weight?". Please share the successful strategies.

@psuLemon - PLEASE ADOPT ME, WILL WORK FOR FOOD!

Agree with @karenalexander1164, you need to go the low carb/KETO route. Dr. Berg, Dr Ken Berry, Dr Eric Westman all have good advice on Youtube. Also, check out the low carb; Keto; carnivore threads on this site. Lots of good folks there. If you are not sure where to start, Google Dr. Westman's "page four diet". It's about…

It ate a big hole in my retirement funds. Coronavirus apparently also consumes toilet paper based on the supplies at the grocery store. I also found out I was an expert at social distancing - been doing it for years, who knew? I also used to cough to cover the sound of a fart. I now fart to cover the sound of a cough.

5 gal bucket vodka martini with bleu cheese stuffed olives

Add me to the list. Actually started carnivore three weeks ago and really enjoy it. Mainly eat eggs, hamburger, and rib eyes. One Diet Pepsi with lunch at work. Still waiting to see any results with weight loss, as well if my aching joints improve.

How is it a woman can take a picture of a guys crotch but if a guy does it, it's an upskirt and off to jail with ya.

@Sunny_Bunny_ , What brand of C do you buy may I ask?

Tried it - did nothing for me.

I use a Nesco roaster for bone broth. Makes a little more than a slow cooker.

If your goal is to lose weight, you don't need to add fat. Keep carbs low, protein moderate and feed off your body fat.
-
If you're in it to lose weight, don't worry about hitting your fat macros. Hit your protein macro, keep carbs </= 20 grams /day, and feed off the fat from your rear end. Many plateaus people hit are due to consuming too much fat and believe it or not, too much protein.

I'm with @MrAcavano on this one.

Clean Keto to me is a ground beef half pounder burger w/cheese. Dirty keto is if I drop it on the floor. depending where it falls and for how long, I may still eat it. Either way, the weight loss is the same.

Is there really that much difference between European coffee and what we drink in the US? Or is it how it's brewed? Never been to Europe, so just curious. Also, what are some of these "superior" European brands/ We should be able to purchase them here in the US and experience this great coffee .

What do people see in quinoa anyway? If I'm going to blow carbs, give me taters.

I always brine them before cooking. 1/4 cup brown sugar with 1/4 cup kosher salt dissolved in enough water to cover chops. Brine for at least 1 hour, rinse and pat dry before cooking. I like to grill the chops strait up or with barbecue sauce. Breading and baking is also delicious. Serve with a mash and gravy. Could grind…

Just be blunt and to the point, " shove that pie up your rear end and get out of my way". That should help them understand.

If you're in it to lose weight, nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Don't be fooled by ANY doctor. Whether it's surgery, medications, or regular "routine" visits, ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY - PLAIN & SIMPLE. Even if the doc appears to be a good person, they still have to tote the corporate line.

Cottage cheese and diced onions & pepper. Maybe a shake of hot sauce on top.

I'm trying but I find it hard to get adequate protein from plant based. Also, its hard to not include any cheese in dishes. Miss eggs too.

Hi there. I would say first determine your daily protein amount based on your individual lean body mass. This could range from 0.6g to 1.2g/ kg LBM. Less protein if you are sedentary - more if you are active. If the above ratios are "per meal", then 30g carbs per day is ok to start. You may have to reduce that amount based…

I love my vodka martinis but like Sabine_Stroehm I can't lose weight when I indulge. Anyone else like that?
-
You're asking a very open ended question. The short answer is BOTH low cal and keto work. It really depends on your goals and tolerances. If you are the type of person who can live with restricted carbohydrate intake, keto is the way to go - many side benefits in addition to weight loss. However, if you can't give up the…

OK.......I don't get out much. But what's up with the "bump" thing?
