I like to take a recipe and see what cut downs and subs I can make to make it lower calorie. It's all a game. Most recipes you can cut sugar and oil by half or better and still get a passable result.

In most cases, walking is the best thing you can do overall for exercise. I have done it and started out for a short distances and walked slowly and worked myself up to longer distances. I don't know your heart history so before starting any exercise check with your doctor or his/her PA. Good luck to you wanting to be fit.

I do my own baking and discovered with most recipes you can drop fats and sugars a half to 2/3 and still have a good recipe. For fats and oils, I substitute yogurt or unsweetened applesauce. I'm 5' 11" and started at 235 on the last day of Feb. this year. Started on 1650 calories a day with walking as exercise. Last month dropped to 1500 calories a day with exercise walking. I am now at 177 lbs. I walked an average of 2 miles a day. Good luck to you.

I started out walking only 1/4 of a mile a day I'm up to 2 1/2 miles a day and have lost 37 lbs doing it. You can do it. Just do a small bit more every day.

One thing you could add right away for exercise if you have the time is walking. Walking is the best all-around exercise. I have walked off 37 lbs and I don't have a saggy belly. It's good for your body core.

I put low cal jam in mine and then put it in the freezer and when frozen eat it like a low cal ice cream.

I walk 2.5 miles 6 days a week and on Sunday I eat late breakfast and no lunch and then supper. Sunday is my exercise rest day and I have lost 37 lbs since March of this year.
