I found that knowing my maintenance calories saved a lot of stress for me, personally. My goal is 1860 calories per day. But my maintenance calories (how many calories I need to maintain my current weight) is about 2400 calories. So if I go over my goal and eat 2200 calories, guess what?!? I'm still technically in a deficit and have done zero damage!
My maintenance calories is 3900 my goal calories is 1800. I'm 2100 calories under the maintenance.
that's a good cushion and you've got plenty of room for days like this. i would even say that having 2500 calories is a big deficit. what did the doctors say?
New meds to help me with pain. He said with less pain i can do more and lose more weight.

Just back from a 15 min walk. i know it ant much but seeing the most i ever walk is from my sofa to my fridge i say yay me. Whoop whoop
I started out walking only 1/4 of a mile a day I'm up to 2 1/2 miles a day and have lost 37 lbs doing it. You can do it. Just do a small bit more every day.9 -
Fat is the body's energy reserves and we are designed to burn it in the absence of food.
there is a cap on the amount of body fat that can be converted to energy and used in a given period (fat oxidation). after that your body will start to use energy from other sources, including your muscles, which includes your heart. eating at a sensible deficit is much a much safer and healthier way to lose fat and produces way less misery than fasting for long periods of time. i used to fast on the master cleanse for up to 21 days. it was *kitten* miserable, sure i felt the 'high' that comes with it. i also felt disoriented, made bad decisions, lost a ton of water weight, and regained any fat after i stopped and went back to eating solid foods.12 -

Don't beat yourself up too badly for having a bad day here or there.
Yesterday I ate three pints of ice cream (PMS time) & I did beat myself up a little, but then realized that I've made progress & that was my first binge in about a month or more.
At worst I might've gained around a pound, but more than likely I will just maintain this week rather than losing.
What kind of vegetables did you buy?3 -

With moving in 6 days i got most everything packed that includes the scale. I dont mind vegetables and I'm getting lots of exercise in packing and moving everything (i have a shot load of stuff)13 -

Any one know low calcium foods i have to have very little seeing my calcium levels are 3.9 and it only gose to 5 before having a heart attack.0

I think calcium comes mostly from milk, some from vegetables. I think most of the problem comes from thyroid. We already know that's a problem for you.

Food sources of calcium include dairy, dark green veggies, fish with the bones, and beans. Also be aware that some antacids are made with calcium carbonate, so find another option if you use that. After you get your parathyroids removed, you might be told to supplement calcium until your body figures out how to regulate it. I had one large gland/tumor removed several years ago, and the tingling sensation in my lips from the drop in calcium during recovery was an interesting sensation. For what it's worth, it was one of my easier surgeries, and I hope yours goes smoothly, as well.3 -
