Well done! Wonderful accomplishment! 😀

I hate to hear: “Your so tiny!” Or “what size are your pants?” I feel normal, no different than anyone else.

Fitness Blender online has great workouts. You can pick the type, level, intensity, time. And it’s free!

Combine your exercise with your dog training. If you have any spare time, try swimming - it’s easy on the joints.

My son was on a strict elimination diet when he was 7-12 years old. We slowly figured out what he really could not tolerate. 33 foods were off limits to start. Everything from oranges to pork and everything in Between. Instead of focusing on the things we could not eat (as we all ate what he could) we focused on what he…

Free Solo climbing. Going up is easy, it was the down climbing that was superdooper stupid. Hundreds of feet off the ground, sans wings or rope. 😜

Unsweetened TCHO chocolate baking bits. Really bitter (which I love) and 1 is definitely enough. Don't eat close to bed though as they will keep you awake.

Things that help me: carrots (because they take time to chew and sit in my stomach like little shards), Herbal tea, brushing teeth.

Staticsplit: You have talent! If I had a bike desk, I would end up falling off, hitting my head, and getting a concussion! Not to mention the typos. LOL

My 16 year old, 6’1” tall, super fit, 8-pack abs son, keeps challenging me to arm wrestling, bench press, or squat contests. Apparently he can’t see that I am 57 and tiny, so when I decline he tells me It is because i am fat or lazy. Funny how he views reality.

I used to do a huge amount of cardio. I switched to weight and HIIT training and went from squishy to toned. 5’2” 118 down to 108. 10 pounds makes a huge difference on us smaller folk! All my cardio is reserved for hikes, skiing and walking that I would normally do anyways. I do Burn Boot camp, 45 minute classes, 6 days a…

It depends on your starting weight and activity level. If you are light, 2 lbs a week is not attainable, if you are heavier, it is doable. Use MFP for 4 weeks and see how it goes. The first 2 weeks might be disappointing as some people’s bodies do not adjust to the thought of changing for a few weeks. More information…

Not really but it sure does make you feel great! Feeling great in turn motivates you to eat clean and exercise. 🙂 i do 10-20 minutes of yoga at home every day to relax, stretch, breath, warm up, greet the day, and it is part of my daily PT for degenerative spine. Then I am ready to go! Yoga took me from incapacitating…

I am glad you posted again. I have been thinking about you since your last post when you said you were nervous about your upcoming surgery. I am glad you are well and wish you all the best in your new journey. I don’t have a sleeve, but I know you will find the support you need here.

Fatigue can come from an injury to your shoulder, impinged nerve, muscle injury, ligament or tendon injury, bone spurs, spine out of alignment, or a variety of other causes. Just because it doesn’t hurt does not mean there is not an injury. Going to a physician or PT would be wise.

Ditto what everyone else advised. Aim for losing 0.5 pounds a week and you will reach your goal in a more sustainable way. I am 5’ 2” ish and would have to walk across the country to loose 1 pound a week. 🙂

Check the strap that goes over the arch of the foot and the one around the ankle. Both, if too tight, can impede circulation. There is a a large artery that is very close to the surface of the top of your foot. Another thing to check, put the boots on and get in a ski stance, if your toes hit the front with your knees…

Off topic, but that is a beautiful horse and rider!

1 hour snowshoe, active rest day.

The more I exercise, for example long hikes or skiing, the less I can eat. I think it has something to do with the sympathetic nervous system response. My body is ready to exercise so it inhibits appetite. But I am small and don’t have a great appetite on a normal day.

Maybe walk at lunch or if you get a break? You could get 20 more minutes that way.

Do not get sucked into comparisons. Love where you are right now - at the gym!! And celebrate your successes - second day doubles your gym attendance 🙂

Telemark ski 6 hours. Shovel 30 min, haul loads on sled through deep snow - 30 min. Ready for rest!

I am 5’2 ish and feel best around 105. Right now in maintenance at 108 but as an adult never been more than 118 or less than 95. I am very active with a muscular ‘fire hydrant’ shape.
