Well done! Wonderful accomplishment! 😀

I've only been at this for a few weeks, but my first nsv is that the waistband of my jeans no longer folds over. Pants are getting a bit looser all over too!12

This morning I done my first ever 5km jog! I was hoping to get it done in under 45 minutes. I know I can do 4km in half an hour, but I'm usually pushing myself a bit to get it done. I didn't want to push myself this morning, I just wanted to see how long it would take me to get to 5km. This morning the 4km only took me 31.something minutes, I was pretty stoked with that because I didn't feel like I was pushing myself as much as I usually would to get to that 4km in 30. And the whole 5km took me 37.49 minutes. Smashed my goal of under 45! Feeling very accomplished and proud today.20

I had someone who knows me introduce himself, and then come back a minute later to say he had just figured out who it was.25

When I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror I was like HOLY CRAP! My stomach is shrinking so much it's nuts. When I do a side profile now it looks like half the size it was. Feels really good.28

I have to go pants shopping today. The ones I wear now are starting to look much too baggy!19
-
My bracelet's fit again. I had stop wearing them because they were too tight.13

I jogged a half mile yesterday without stopping. I have never been a runner so this is a BFD for me. My next goal is to be able to jog a full mile!29

I feel as if I had a few this week. I hit the gym three times after work, I hit the elliptical had 2 of the days 2.75 miles in 21 minutes and 3.21 miles in 27 min. Did a heavy PT 2 times, and upper body 1 day. I actually got physically involved with my youth soccer teams playing a passing game called rondo, which requires running. Which I'm sure my surgeon would frown upon, being only 8 weeks out of total hip replacement. I am also down one belt loop.
Additionally I take what I call smoke breaks at work, where I go to the facility gym and do some physical activity for 15 minutes. Somedays I am far too busy to get even one in, this week I've done 6 and plan to get 2 more today.
YAY ME!!!
YAY US for all our NSV's!!!19 -

That's amazing, but I'm also jealous that you have a Mexican buffet nearby. I've never even conceptualized a Mexican buffet before this, and now want to go.5 -

It's a regular Mexican restaurant that does a lunch buffet (and a Sunday brunch).1 -

Brb, calling all Mexican restaurants in my area to see if they do the same thing.5 -

Well depending on the size of the plate I could do this too.
Congrats, that takes some serious strength.6 -

This is awesome, I bet you'll be there in know time at all.
Something that always helped me when I use to run was to not think about what I was doing, I would sing along to my music (in my mind usually).
Good luck, you got this.2 -

Scale moving at less than 1/2 pound per quarter it seems BUT i put on one of my summer skirts finally and it fits so much better than it did last spring at this time so I know my weight lifting work is changing my body.12

I just noticed I have weight training calluses on my hands. That makes me feel stupidly happy.

I went to a mom group at church last night for the first time. My sister knew someone who'd be going, she came to me and said hi. I heard from my sister later that she didn't recognize me and that she said I was "tiny".
Considering the last time she saw me was in high school (I am going back to the church I grew up in, haven't been since high school) and weighed the same I do now....but I guess she has seen pictures from my sister.10 -
There's this one fitted sweater dress that I've kept for perhaps 15 years hoping it would fit someday. Tried it on today to see how far away it is. It FIT! And I hated the style LOL! 15 years and I hated it Into the give away pile it went!
I still have the jeans I wore on my first date with my husband, in 1999. They finally fit again. They are soooo 90s, but they fit! I'm keeping them forever
Me too from 2003..and the top I wore.. neither will fit until I’ve lost another 2 stone, but at least I know the size I was when I met him 😉8 -
I play with my wedding ring set all the time. Terrible nervous habit- swap it from finger to finger, hand to hand, take it off, watch it sparkle, that kind of thing. I bet I burn some serious calories playing with my jewelry every day!
In the past, the set was so tight that I could only get it over pinky of right hand. Was playing with it last night and realized I can get it over right index finger knuckle.
Sounds trivial, but after 30+ years of ring action, that was noticeable.16 -
Shaving has been a lot easier! Less time consuming.🤗14

6 weeks ago, I got a part in a play I've been dreaming of doing for 30 years; Matt Drayton in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. The play opened Wednesday night and the crowds have been over the top enthusiastic! My NSV is that several people coming through the post play reception line have commented that I've lost weight! But the best was last night when one gentleman said to me, "Spencer would be proud." I'm beyond cloud nine!21

Put on a shirt today that I bought over a year ago on amazon. It was much too small for me then. Now it fits like a glove! And i fished out some old pairs of jeans a couple sizes smaller than the ones i was wearing in January and fit perfectly now! Whoooo! So thrilled!19

Last night I was looking at a scrapbook I made for my mom when I was a newlywed, back in 2003.
There was a photo in the back from that Christmas, which was my favorite photo of myself for a long time because I looked thinner than usual...I think I was at around 230 lb in the photo, which for me was on the lower end. I usually was in the neighborhood of 260-270 for most of my twenties and heavier than that around age 30 (my highest weight).
Anyway, the last time I saw this scrapbook, I was 32 or so and I thought to myself, "I really wish I looked like that again!" and more about the lower weight than looking younger.
It was cool to have that book in my hand last night at age 42 and realize I'm way smaller than I was in 2003...like 65 lb and many sizes smaller than that previous "personal best", pretty much a different person physically than ten years ago...and not even used to seeing my rounder (and younger, of course) face so it just seemed like a wow moment to me and made me feel great to think that I have come this far.41 -
Haven't been losing much and definitely not quickly but a co-worker told me I looked thinner (and taller!) the other day. I think it's about the way I've been carrying myself and even though I haven't seen a lot of change on the scale, that felt good!16

So I posted on Valentines that I got into my goal dress, but was too embarrassed to take my coat off. You all were awesome and encouraged me to try again. So here we go. Thank you for your encouragement! Ignore the shoes. Those are my “fixing to stand four hours behind the front desk at the opening party” shoes.
