I think I've mentioned on this thread before how I work at a bank and we bake fresh cookies for our clients every day via an Otis Spunkmeyer (that jerk) mini oven. I was running late this morning and did not get breakfast. I have oatmeal at my desk but it's getting warmer and oatmeal sounds terrible. I'm starving. I went up to get a cookie and one of the ladies I work with said - Kris do you really want that cookie. She was right I didn't. I immediately went to my desk and got the oatmeal. It's an NSV with an assist from a co-worker who knows how hard I've been working. It takes a village people...
Feeling more confident with going outside and being around people thanks to my daily morning walks in the sunrise. Every morning I want to keep this up to fight off the anxiety so when summer comes I can go on walks during the day when the sun is up and about. Also worked up the courage to get an eye exam and finally getting new glasses in a couple weeks after 5 years. First time really talking to strangers in a long time.
Fit into the smallest dress I've ever bought. Size 8, bought it the last time I lost weight for a work photo. Thought I was going to have to lose another ten to fit. It's definitely fitted, but I wouldn't say it's tight. Gonna wear it tomorrow to work.
In celebration, here is the first actual photo of me I'm posting on this account, a picture of me wearing the dress.
Edit: bonus cat included.
Edit edit: forgot to mention that this dress is so special because it's the only piece of "skinny" clothing that I kept. I couldn't bear to get rid of it, both because it was so pretty but also because it may have been the last remnant of hope that I could lose the weight again.
Better late than never, right??
1. Love the bonus cat.
2. That dress is adorable. I'd wear it.
3. You are a cutie pie!
I went to a musical event on Saturday with my college friends. I saw a friend that I haven't seen in 18 years and she didn't recognize me. I weigh about 50 lbs less than the last time I saw her.

(Told you I was going to stalk it)
Aww, thank you. (:
I almost gave you the link to it but then I realized it wasn't actually that far back, haha. I'm wearing that dress today, actually (with a sweater because it is snowraining outside).
I usually wear my baggy sweatshirts to the gym as I tend to be more cold than hot even when sweating. And I go workout and I've noticed that the guys working out know where I am, but no one says anything. But yesterday I switched to a long sleeve tshirt as I started getting warm, and one of the bodybuilders stopped and said hi. I had to laugh.
Making progress, albeit slowly. Today's NSV are cumulative losses in inches: 1.5 off my chest, 1.5 off my waist, and 4.25 off my hips. The scale is down 18 lbs, too, but it's the inches that are satisfying to see shrink!
Had a substitute instructor in my Grit class last night. The last time she subbed was late last summer, but she remembered me and commented on how much progress I've made in class and asked me how much weight I've lost.
My mum gave me some clothes that she didn’t want, some black skinny jeans size 12 (UK) and a size 10 jumper. She’s a 14 in trousers and bought the 12 as sales lady said how great she looked, but she couldn’t eat in them! She said maybe I can give them to a friend! the trousers not only fit me but are loose in the waist and top fit perfect. This NSV is mum always commented about my weight and I’ve always been bigger than her, she put me on first diet aged 8. It mean seen petty but I love that I’m skinnier and fitter than her now, plus I get given clothes now lol
Last two nights I finished my calories for the day at dinner. A bit later I wasn’t really hungry but I’m used to munching after dinner. Instead, I came on here and read some of the forum threads, which gave me enough resolve not to go over my calorie goal because of mindless habit.
There's this one fitted sweater dress that I've kept for perhaps 15 years hoping it would fit someday. Tried it on today to see how far away it is. It FIT! And I hated the style LOL! 15 years and I hated it Into the give away pile it went!

Is it mean that this made me laugh? Only because I did something similar with a pair of trousers At least you can feel proud you got into the dress 😁🎉🎉

The last time I rode on the London Overground I had to squeeze into the seat and felt pinched and uncomfortable while in it. Yesterday I rode the Overground again and was able to sit comfortably in it with no pinching and squashing feeling.

I have a few items of clothing I’ve also had for at least 15 years and refused to throw out because I KNEW I would ft into them again one day. Some I fit into again but others, not quite yet. I don’t even like half of them but I’m a bit weird when it comes to throwing things away. Charity shops it is i think, lol.

I still have the jeans I wore on my first date with my husband, in 1999. They finally fit again. They are soooo 90s, but they fit! I'm keeping them forever

When I was around size 18/20 and first joined MFP, I tried on a size 16 denim dress in a secondhand shop and almost loved it. It fit but it was skin tight on my belly/hip area. So I had it hanging in the closet for awhile as my "goal" (I never thought I'd wind up at size 10). Anyway, I tried on that dress several times and it literally went from skintight on hips & belly to saggy and AWFUL everywhere else, in like a month or so. I was really glad I only paid a buck or two for it!!
