There's this one fitted sweater dress that I've kept for perhaps 15 years hoping it would fit someday. Tried it on today to see how far away it is. It FIT! And I hated the style LOL! 15 years and I hated it Into the give away pile it went!
I still have the jeans I wore on my first date with my husband, in 1999. They finally fit again. They are soooo 90s, but they fit! I'm keeping them forever

Is it mean that this made me laugh? Only because I did something similar with a pair of trousers At least you can feel proud you got into the dress 😁🎉🎉
When I was around size 18/20 and first joined MFP, I tried on a size 16 denim dress in a secondhand shop and almost loved it. It fit but it was skin tight on my belly/hip area. So I had it hanging in the closet for awhile as my "goal" (I never thought I'd wind up at size 10). Anyway, I tried on that dress several times and it literally went from skintight on hips & belly to saggy and AWFUL everywhere else, in like a month or so. I was really glad I only paid a buck or two for it!!
There has been birthday cake in my home for like nearly a week now. This is such a NSV for me because birthday cake is my faaaavvvv dessert. I could easily eat four pieces in a day.
So after i gave my self permission to eat two pieces ( I had 1300 cals for dinner and yeah used it on that >.>) on Sunday. I haven't touched it again and here Sunday is coming up again!
I bought new activewear on the weekend - one full size down, both pants AND tops, and they aren't tight on me! YAAAAY! I wore the new activewear for my PT session and my PT commented how awesome I am looking. He said "Finally you've bought smaller gym stuff. I was going to tell you to do that because the other tops you;ve been wearing are far too big! And if you're pulling up your gym pants - THEY'RE TOO BIG!". Talk about stroking my ego!
And this morning, I tried on an old pair of size 16 jeans, because my size 18's are swimming on me. I was convinced the jeans would be too tight. NOPE! Fits perfectly - they are not snug one-iota! I can see these jeans being replaced by a smaller pair in the not-too-long future!
This weekend I will be going through my closest and getting rid of anything size 18 and over. This will be showing me I can never return to my heaviest weight ever! I have to help my brain understand that I am getting smaller.
Let's add smaller-sized top too So I am now officially an Australian size 16! And the clothes aren't a tight fit! I am sooo happy!
I have a red winter jacket that is an Australian size 14 that I am hanging out to wear. It's one of my new NSV goal. If I continue the rate of weightloss I'm currently at (~1kg per week), I could be wearing it in late July/early August - which is when it's the coldest here in my hometown of Adelaide.
Making progress, albeit slowly. Today's NSV are cumulative losses in inches: 1.5 off my chest, 1.5 off my waist, and 4.25 off my hips. The scale is down 18 lbs, too, but it's the inches that are satisfying to see shrink!
YAAAAY! Awesome work!
Yes - the shrinkage in my body rather than the number on the scales is making me a lot happier and is far more satisfying. It's because the scales have far too many variables that cause fluctuations, whereas when you lose inches (or centimeters in my case!), it's a solid result.

Vintage jeans ROCK! My charity pile today was impressive but cool jeans were kept!

Does this mean I'm vintage too?:sad::sad:
Man, I should have kept some of my jeans lol. I was fully grown in 1999, albeit not an adult quite yet.
Went to a reception, wore a party dress I had not worn in years. When they did group photos, they pulled me from the back to be in the front. Got lots of compliments.
Currently fighting the urge to eat a piece of the reeses thin dark chocolate cups🍫 in my pantry right now. My NSV will be not indulging tonight. Working on self control right now.

OMG I feel the same way about spin! Just not for me and I do just about every class. Congratulations on getting through 40 minutes, it’s really hard. Lol one of the reasons classes have worked for me is that I didn’t want to be “that person” who leaves early so I pushed through where I normally would have given up. Now I want to be “that person”, the one who crushes like a beast!
Your post made me laugh, so relatable.
I had some popcorn at my daughter's ball game last night, didn't go back for more, didn't eat any of my son's nachos either. Then went to the gym to burn it off even though I would have loved to relax and go to bed early.
I just received a new uniform top for work. I needed to order 2 sizes down. When it arrived, I opened it up with a couple of my co-workers standing there. The style has changed a bit and they were very interested. I was completely embarrassed because it was obvious when I pulled it out of the packaging that I had ordered one way too small. I didn't try it on until I was alone and OMG it is a perfect fit. It looked so tiny!
