getitamb: confidence!! the way you're posing and smiling shows you know you look fantastic (which you do!)

Lol thank you :blushing: but that wasn't actually my reply, but my job is physically demanding and I've lost a good portion of weight since I started it, so I've been hiking, running, biking, and kayaking, so it's been an incorporation of cardio and definitely core exercise (when you're kayaking a 21ft fiberglass kayak…

I carry a lot of my weight in my stomach and I still have 20lbs to go but (thankfully!) there's been a bit of a difference Before: 163lbs Halfway: 145lbs

When I used to do track, I'd have a higher-carb dinner the night before (like spaghetti with whole-wheat noodles) and for breakfast I'd have a bowl of oatmeal with banana, honey, and flax seed, and I'd have 1/2 a protein bar about 1 hour before my event. That gave me a lot of energy without a sugar high (and consequently a…

I gained 20lbs my first year in university from the crap food, so second year I would try and stop the late-night cravings by buying dried apricots/blueberries/cranberries, almonds, yogurt-covered raisins (for a sweet craving), dried apple rings or apple chips, oranges, apples, etc. Anything that's non-perishable or can…

I'm a lifeguard/swimming instructor and I teach adult swim lessons. I have people from age 17-70 who want to learn to swim but simply never learned or had the opportunity. There's no shame and the lessons are very fun and non-judgmental, it's never too late to learn something new! Ask you local pool about adult swim…

I'm trying to lose 10lbs by March 31st! Soo here's my most recent bikini pic at 155lbs, and I'm hoping to get down to 130lbs by July. Edit: erg. my photo won't show up and I did the img codes correctly =S

I'm going by pounds until I get into the 'healthy' range for my height and age (ideal weight range), and once I'm there then I'm going to go by inches and how clothes fit. Once I get down 20lbs, I'll start focusing on fitting certain size clothes instead of obsessing on getting to a certain number on the scale. It's all…

Good set of runners, if you get hot easily then shorts or capris that wick moisture (and won't show swass lol) are good, a supportive sports bra (ie: lululemon, nike, or Champion), and a comfortable shirt (I wear a lululemon short sleeve shirt that's slightly loose fitting, so it doesn't cling but also doesn't hang off me…

Edit: ^^ this is definitely right with needing lack of oxygen (not excess) Exercise during a panic attack actually would be a good idea. Hyperventilation during a panic attack has NOTHING to do with lack of oxygen, but actually a lack of carbon dioxide in your system. When you start hyperventilating, you're expelling more…

Drink a lot of water. When you don't drink enough water, your body thinks it's dehydrated so it will actually hold onto water, therefore causing you to retain water and 'water weight.' Believe me, it works =) so drink up and make sure you're getting at least 8 glasses a day! :drinker:

Femme: 1) I practically live in high heels 2) I love pearls (and diamonds, gold, etc) and wear them all the time 3) I talk super girly (ie: omggggg, soooo cuteeeee) 4) I'm always right. Or at least I think/act like I am. Especially when pms'ing. Your argument is invalid! 5) I refuse to leave the house unless I look…

You look awesome! The shoes are almost as hot as those gorgeous legs you have there! Great job :flowerforyou: you've obviously worked very hard and you show the motivation and dedication needed to reach your goals =)

A woman at the gym once told my aunt that her extremely thin and emaciated appearance was "troubling" and a "bad influence" on some of the younger, more impressionable people trying to get in shape the "healthy" way. My aunt is recovering from cancer and chemotherapy took a big toll on her body and she was going to the gym…

pahahahahahaha I live in Canada (BC) so around the house I wear lululemon wunder under pants with a long-sleeve and a hoodie, for outside it's usually jeans, uggs (hideous but warm) or over-the-knee boots, hoodie, scarf, cute bright coloured toque, mittens, wooly socks, and a nice thick winter jacket :grumble: could…

I'm 20 as well and we're both looking to lose around the same amount of weight (I have 11kg to go) =) Sending you a friend request :flowerforyou:

How heavy are the weights you're using? I started using 7lbs and it killed so I went down to 5lbs and worked my way up from there. Even 2lbs can make a huge difference in how difficult the shred is :)
