  • You'll have to play with the measurements- the original recipe I had called for over 3lbs of squash and a gallon of stock, but.... add sliced onion, chopped garlic and thick sliced squash/zucchini to a large pot (no oil). when everything starts to cook down, add crushed saltine crackers (works as both thickening agent and…
  • I just got EA Active 2 for Wii at Target for $10 this weekend! LOVE!!!! It came with a heart rate monitor and 3 resistance bands. There are tons of 'trainer' designed programs or you can create your own. And you don't have to have the Wii Fit to use it. Did I mention LOVE!

  • Cook 1 can of black beans with 1 can of rotel and 'an appropriate amount' of lean turkey keilbasa. Serve over brown rice with cilantro. I've also been tossing the salad greens with homemade honey mustard dressing and putting them on a wrap with shredded chicken.
  • The skin of a spaghetti squash before putting it in the oven, YES! The skin of your body anywhere, No. But I'm a total needle-phobe!
  • ME! I technically started a few days ago...but I'm not counting Day 1 until I can make it through the first workout....all the way....without taking a break... I'm up to 7 minutes so far
  • If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten!
  • When I finish writing the book on it I'll send you a copy! I went through years of DH sabotaging me. He would either crack jokes or worse be sweet about it like "you've had such a rough day I made dinner tonight"- fried pork chops, mashed potatoes with butter, corn with more butter and yeast rolls....with butter. This is a…
  • Baked chicken with orange glaze, balsamic mushrooms, squash casserole and salad.
  • How about something like chocolate drizzeled strawberries. Make them the same as you would chocolated 'covered' strawberries, but just with a pretty drizzle of dark chocolate over each. Also good over mandarin orange segments. Fruit skewers are also a big hit. fresh pinapple, watermelon, grapes, strawberries and kiwi are…
  • I've been 'cleaning' up our pantry and fridge at home. I usually make something a little healtheir for myself and a little different for my husband. (He actually needs the calories for his activity level.) Last night I made shirataki noodles with shrimp stir fry for myself and the same stir fry with brown rice for my…
  • I started L1D1 last night. Apparently it's going to be more of a 45DS for me. I'm not counting D1 until I can (1) finish the workout and (2) not stop. Maybe I should get out the WiiFit and work my way up to Shredding?
  • Have you talked to your gyn? I used to have the same problem. I take 1 Piroxicam daily for just the 4 days before I start and I hardly ever get cramps any more. Sorry I didn't really answer your question....
  • Way to go! You should see my 08/20 food diary! Talk about falling face first off the wagon! BUT it's all there and 08/21 was right back on track. Yay!
  • I have a HUGE sweet tooth. I just had a Fiber One 90 cal Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie. It was actually really good and just the right size. Knowing that it's 20% of my daily fiber also keeps me from eating more than one....
  • Good to Know, I just bought some a few minutes ago to use in shrimp stir fry tonight. I will be sure not to smell them first now!
  • I just found this post and I might be a day behind, but I am starting today. i really needed this motivation. THANKS!
  • ....put them in the freezer for a future movie night
  • I have a friend that works out ALL the time and she's pretty good about her diet. The scale hasn't moved more than 1 lb in over 6 months, but if you look at her before and after pics the changes are amazing! Keep it up!

  • Have you heard the saying "Do what you Love and the money will follow"? I think the same applies to dating. If you go looking for someone in a place you don't like to go, you are probably going to meet someone you don't like to date. If you find hobbies and interests of your own, you will meet people with the same…
  • Do you know for yourself why you do it? Are you 'rewarding' yourself for your success? Are you afraid to succeed in your goal? Is 140 a realistic goal for your body? The answer to why will give you the answer to overcome it. If you are 'rewarding' yourself then you might feel dprvied in your diet and need to make changes…
