What a prick! I pity him. It must be a miserable existance to be so mean. You are gorgeous (and your current weight is perfectly healthy)!

I'd love to find my twin! Nearly 42 years old, mum of 3. From the UK, but living in Japan. 5ft, current weight 142bs, goal weight 127lbs.

I can very much relate to your post! I am 5ft and I find the slow weightloss incredibly frustrating! I have my calories set to 1,200 and I am fasting at 500 twice a week, and yet it has taken me a whole month to lose just over 1kg! The other day I dares to each over 1,500 and I was informed that if I ate like that every…

Congratulations! This is a big deal marking a turning point - tell yourself that you are never going to be obese again! Just think, at some point in the future you will be able to post that you are no longer overweight :-D

I'm from Cheshire, but now live in Japan!

I was about to post almost the exact same! I have just completed my first week of careful eating, logging and exercising, and was gutted when I stood on the scales and saw absolutely no change to my weight. :-( In fact, during the week my weight even went up a little, sob, sob! I had really high hopes for this week, as in…

I'm 5 ft - start weight was 161 (before MFP), current weight 145 and goal 119. I'd like to reach my goal before visiting family in the summer, but it is such a SLOW process! I've decided to do 5:2 IF and had my first fast day yesterday, hoping that this will give me an extra boost in my weightloss journey.

I've just completed my first fast day! I read a lot about the benefits, and thought I could use the discipline. I'm planning to fast on Fridays and Monday, so that I can be a little more relaxed about what I eat over the weekend. Feel free to add me :flowerforyou:

Update: I made them this morning, but used soy bean flour instead of wheat (I'm trying to cut right back on wheat at the moment) - extra protein and gluten-free! They turned out to be delicious!

I just trialed a new recipe, Soy bean flour pancakes, and have uploaded it to the recipe section! Contains soy bean flour, egg, greek yoghurt... And really delicious!
-
I really want to try these for breakfast tomorrow - no cottage cheese in the house, but am going to risk it with some greek yoghurt instead!

Home-made popcorn, helps me get through the crunchy snack cravings without opening a bag of potato chips!

Let me know if you ever fancy doing a house swap to Japan!

Thanks so much, everyone! I guess I've been too hung up on the numbers, as most of the fat in my diet is 'good'. I have nuts in the cupboard, but they contain so much fat that I had been avoiding them! I love humus, and have been making my own Greek yoghurt (can't buy it here) - I try to snack on these spread on whole…

Eat something good and healthy before you go, then have a salad or a light side dish off the menu and eat slowly! You should definitely go, you are blessed to have a brother who wants to be able to have you join his celebration!
