Raw oysters. A dozen have around 100 calories total. Edit: I was surprised by how low they are in calories.

Wine. I also really like hot toddies when I'm home with a book. I make them by adding a shot of whiskey into lemon tea plus a tsp of honey and a squirt of lemon juice. As far as bar drinks go, I love picklebacks but those are definitely not everyone's cup of tea. Or just a vodka and club soda with lime.

Oh wow. At .5/week it has me at 1480 calories per day. That seems way more reasonable and less likely to lead to hanger. Thanks. :)
-
I actually have it set to 1lb/week. I could switch it to .5?

"I bet your c*nt tastes nice" Why thank you complete stranger on the sidewalk. And they say romance is dead.

I'm close to where I want to be weight wise, but still feeling puffy and flabby. So my main goal is to tone. Also I'd like to build endurance. Height 5'7 Starting weight: 147 Current weight: 130 Goal weight: 125 (Or whatever I am when I start looking more toned) ETA: I can't find my measuring tape. I'll post those later ;)

Just made it through day 1. I'm going to have to modify a few of these because of a knee injury (for example I'm not quite strong enough to do the full range for that many standard pushups yet, but the modified ones put too much pressure on my knees, also the side lunges) but other than that it was great. Definitely harder…

I haven't taken pics or measurements yet but I'm going to. I'm not planning on rest days, but if I have to take one while visiting my fiance's family I will. I'd be up for a group, but don't know how to go about starting one.
-
I'm starting today too. A little worried about if I'll be able to do it every day (we're going to be visiting family this month) but I'm going to try.

Artificial sweeteners are one of those things that are bad for you even in moderation. If you are trying to be genuinely healthy, not just thin, I would not consume them every day. I'd recommend allowing yourself a tsp of sugar in the morning with you coffee and counting it with your calories. Or switch to tea and sweeten…

Yup all of this. No one here is qualified to give you medical advice, unless they have a medical degree and used their psychic powers to learn your blood work results. You have a doctor, ask him what he meant.
-
Call your doctor and ask him what he meant. Asking a bunch of strangers on the internet to interpret your doctor's instructions is a bad idea.
-
Yup this. I got down to 130 without eliminating anything from my diet. I just am better with exercising and portion control.

You should give yourself a day off every now and then to prevent injuries. Otherwise it sounds fine as long as you're eating enough to support that level of exercise. I do cardio 5-6 days a week. Usually for a half hour a day. I do strength training 3x a week.

If the elliptical aggravated it, I'd say stay off it for a few days. Also it might be worth seeing a doctor. You have to be careful with these kind of things. I ignored tendonitis in my ankle, wound up slightly favoring one leg while running and messed up my knees as a result. It's best to get ahead of these things early.

Total honesty: If someone was extremely overweight I might side eye them wearing a bikini. I would never do or say anything to make them feel bad, but I might have a fleeting thought of "That probably wasn't the best choice." I'm not saying that's right or fair, but it's the truth. You however are no where near extremely…

Honestly I just go for baby carrots. Sometimes I dunk them in hummus.

I'm a night time eater too. I actually feel sick if I eat too much too early in the day. The evening is when I like to eat the bulk of my calories. I've tried eating bigger breakfasts but I always wind up feeling sick all morning and then ravenous by dinner time. So while the PPs are right that you might want to try eating…

I drink one or two cups, but I don't really think there's a certain amount that you should aim for in a day. Just remember it does have caffeine so too much of it (like most things) is bad for you.
-
Hah. Unless we're counting falafel as junk food I already do that every day. I prefer to drink my empty calories ;) I <3 Wine

Breaded chicken breasts and warm brussel sprout salad.

I'm eating healthy foods in healthy potions and exercising regularly. Any other method will not be maintainable and will screw up your metabolism in the process. My calorie counter is set to 1230 calories a day, but I exercise most days and try to eat back at least some of my exercise calories. I do cardio workouts…

Thanks everyone. I'll look into a good heart rate monitor.

I take a supplement.

FIgleaves.com sells bathing suits by bra size. A lot of them come with underwire. They have a great return policy too. Just remember they're UK sizes so you need to order a cup size up from your American size. I'm a 34DDD. Figleaves is the only place I buy bathing suits.

I usually try to go with fresh fruit, especially now that spring is here. Right now I have a big bag of clementines that I'm working my way through. I also like carrot sticks with hummus. I usually keep a fiber one brownie in my purse in case I ever get hungry on the go. I find them to be pretty filling for a snack.

Instead of finding a workouts that I consider fun, I just try to make workouts that are convenient for me more fun. The 30 minutes a day I spend on the elliptical is also the 30 minutes a day I spend watching South Park and Big Bang Theory reruns on my iPod.

It looks like a decent workout, but most people probably don't have a strap like that. For me, the thing that makes planks awesome is that they're a great core workout that you can do pretty much anywhere.

Ugh yes (well almost) and it's driving me bonkers. I lost the first 15 easily enough. The last five refuse to leave.

I really like this recipe: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/melissa-darabian/simple-and-satisfying-broccoli-recipe/index.html It has garlic, evoo and red pepper flakes. :) If I'm steaming broccoli and don't want to add any olive oil I usually just add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a crack of black pepper.
