My basic recipe: 2 cups liquid (almond milk, water, etc) 2 big handfuls of greens (kale, spinach, collard) one frozen banana, one cup froz fruit - usually strawberries or mango - 2 tbsp chia or flax seeds. Extras could be cocoa powder, ginger, cinnamon. A handful of oats. Don't forget about savory smoothies too! greens,…

Lidoderm patches really help with the pain. You need a script though.

I too have a longevity goal! I am 38 and was dx with thyroid cancer at 36. My husband just turned 40 and has a vast family history of cardiac disease. I found these two books very inspiring and I work towards their recommendations slowly but surely!…

I bring a green smoothie (2 cups greens, 1 c almond milk, 1 c h20, a banana, and strawberries or mango with a tbsp of chia seeds - or some variation) in a one quart mason jar to work for bfast, a piece of fruit, an ounce of nuts and a can of amy's lentil or lentil vegetable soup to heat up for lunch. That's my go to food…

I will make green smoothies and put them in a one quart mason jar and grab them when i need them. Also cut up veggies and hummus - there are tupperware containers that would make that easy to eat on the go. Also healthy sandwiches - banana and light peanut butter, veggie and hummus, a wrap of some kind. Hand fruit,…

Great job!

I make a couple of green smoothies at a time and have them for breakfast. Amy's soups - i eat that for lunch at work - lentil or vegetarian lentil - and have almonds and an apple for a snack. Salad for dinner with something else- all quick and easy

Add me, you are funny and your pic is beautiful. :). I'm 37 and trying to be a vegetarian and a healthy person. (Not always the same thing!).

Hypo at 34, papillary carcinoma this year at 36.

I'm currently undergoing tx. I had a TT 10 days ago and will prob have RAI in 6 weeks or so. My synthroid is upped to 175mcgs for now, but I suspect I will have to go hypo and low iodine pre-RAI. Not looking forward to missing my kids during my radioactive phase or messing with my thyroid hormones.

It is the number one thing you can do to improve your health, giving you an average of 10 years more life! You should be proud. You now have a lot more money for the gym and workout clothes too. :)

Real men (AKA over 30 and emotionally mature) realize that women have stretch marks and not perfect bellies - a lot of us. After all, we birth their babies! A man who wants you WILL want to see you naked and like it! And it will be your job to try to love yourself and enjoy each other.

I second bowling or pottery painting. There are also places that the whole class makes a painting together - google sips n strokes. Send the kids elsewhere and have a bubble bath.

I actually had a total thyroidectomy on thurs! I can't lift for another 3 weeks or do anything much upper body. I'm going back to low carb starting on the 1st. I find I do eat healthier and lose quite a bit of weight while I'm following high protein, low carb nutrition. I might have to stop my synthroid to get radioactive…

I think the more expensive brands taste better. Also I'm happy to put pesticide and antibiotic free food into my kids bellies.

I love The New Rules of Lifting for Women - it's a great intro to lifting heavy and a lot of us here have had great results. Feel free to add me or join the group bb

I eat low carb and high protein. Divide your weight in half and try to eat that many grams of protein a day. Drink lots of water! 16 oz when you wake up in the morning and 4 more of the same during the day. This really should help.

I like EAS chocolate and vanilla - it's also pretty affordable at BJ's or Costco.

I'm currently 5carb/30pro/65fat. I try to get 85g protein a day. I've been on this ratio for 8 days and lost 7.5lbs. I try to keep my net carbs under 25g. I'll add more carbs/day next week.
