  • I mix a tablespoon of it into 1 cup of yogurt.
  • I see such a variety of maintenance weight based on what I see tall women posting here in the forums. I'm 6'0 and weigh about 180, wear a size 12, and would like to get down to 170. Anything less than that and I look like a bobble head doll. But I've seen people in the 5'10 - 6'0 range post that they're in the 130's -…
  • Good luck with C25K! I started it a bit back and just ran a (slow) 5K race this past weekend! I'm lucky because I can run outside, I live in Florida, because I get really bored on the treadmill. I use an app called 'map my run" to create running routes equal to the distance I want to run that day then I'm off. Maybe it's…
  • I love LaCroix flavored water. It's carbonated so it feels like a soda, but it doesn't contain any sugar, salt, or sugar substituted (I think, check the can). Delish!
  • @rachel0778 & @MelissaPhippsFeagins I went to a chocolate festival this weekend, talk about a major derailment. Not only did I have the chocolate corn dog - which was oddly delicious - I also had 1 1/2 FRIED OREOS! Yum!
  • On Saturday I ate a corn dog covered with chocolate sauce and sprinkles.
  • Can you give me an idea of what kinds of foods you're eating?
  • @lindsayfacer I struggle when there is tempting food at work too. I don't work at a restaurant, but I still have to face it. I have found that I can't just have a "little", because when it's in front of me all day a little turns into a lot. I drink lemon flavored water and chew sugar free gum to keep my mouth busy.
  • I buy myself something non-food/drink related like mani/pedi, new clothes, new workout gear, new shoes, eyebrow waxing, etc
  • Good luck to everyone in this challenge! Remember that each day is a new chance to make it happen. Hope you all had a great weekend!
  • Included in my binge yesterday were: fried oreos, a chocolate covered corn dog, moo shu pork, fried dumplings, and a fried egg roll. I tried to log as best as I could and, thanks to my 5k, I came in under my calorie goal for the day! I'll take it! Hope you are all having a great weekend!!
  • I ran a marathon in 2007 and trained using Hal Higdon's training program, I loved it. Along the way I ran a few half marathons too. Here is a link to his half marathon training schedule. http://www.halhigdon.com/training/51130/Half-Marathon-Training-Guide Check out the different options and see if one speaks to you. I wish…
  • I was finally able to weigh myself this morning...181.6. My goal for St. Patrick's Day is 6 lbs.
  • 5k complete! I had a great time, we had fantastic weather, and I ran almost the whole way!
  • @SumnyUK I had never heard of Park run until you mentioned it. I googled it and they don't have any runs in my area, but I am trying to become more of a regular runner. There is a group run on Tuesday nights put on my a local pub that I've considered joining. I still feel pretty slow though, so I'm a bit intimidated to…
  • I overate yesterday, I knew I was doing it and couldn't stop, ugh. I hate those days. But today is a new day! I'm committed to logging my food no matter what (yesterday I had to log half a tub of cream cheese and half a block of swiss cheese....) and trying to stay positive. I'll weigh myself tomorrow morning, my husband…
  • I'm back at it today, determined not to snack on the bagels and coffee cakes my boss provides on Fridays. I had a hearty egg breakfast so I'm feeling full, that should help. I didn't get to weigh myself this morning as planned because my husband was hogging the bathroom but I'll do it tomorrow. I have a 5K tomorrow…
  • Ugh, I just ate half a tub of blueberry cream cheese this afternoon! Boredom hunger is the worst! And really, I wasn't even hungry! I hate these moments of weakness.
  • I'm in! My goal for now until St. Patrick's Day is to log my food everyday, even on the weekends when i tend to slack off. I would also like to lost six pounds. I'll weigh in tonight and post my current and goal weights tomorrow. Good luck to everybody! We have a month, make it count!
  • @melissabramley218 congrats on the pounds lost so far! Keep up the good work!
  • @50extra congrats on your journey so far! Your posts are funny and motivating, it's good for me to read about the realities of someone else's journey to help me remember that mine won't be perfect either. Thanks so much for sharing! I'm on MFP most days, trying to do LCHF and be consistent with exercise, please add me as a…
  • Thanks @KenSmith108 !!
  • @baconslave thanks so much for the link, it was a very helpful read! Now, can you tell me what YMMV means?
  • I've had four bottles of water so far today!
  • I've been having some motivational issues this week, abandoned two runs just minutes after starting. Someone in a different thread suggested getting dropped off a distance away from the house and running home, I might try that tonight! Any other advice? I don't want to lose ground!
  • Hi Marilyn! I have used MFP on and off for years but just stumbled on the forums section as well. I've had a great time getting involved in conversations and reading peoples' stories. I come to MFP daily for motivation, thinking about eating well and exercising during the day helps me stay on track. I walk an hour during…
  • I like this idea a lot, I will try it tonight. I have been running on the treadmill because I've been getting home after dark but tonight I'll be home early enough to go outside. Thanks for the idea!
  • I've been having some motivation problems this week. I bailed out on two runs just minutes after starting, just couldn't get myself to do it. I'm trying not to dwell and just focus on my next opportunity, but does anyone have any advice for getting yourself to keep going when you don't want to?
  • Hi Gina! You can definitely get to a half-marathon by September! I ran a marathon a few years back (right before my 30th birthday) and followed the Hal Higdon running program. Here is a link...there a guides for all distance goals. http://www.halhigdon.com/training/51130/Half-Marathon-Training-Guide I wish you the best of…
  • Hi athreyah, I'm new to the group to and fairly new to running...this time. I ran a marathon in 2007 but got away from it in the last several years. Right now I'm doing C25K getting ready for a 5K in two weeks, looking forward to adding the mileage as I go. Feel free to add me as a friend, I need encouragement too!
