  • Good question. It is hard to train the brain not to focus on sxale weight. I am at approc 20.34% bf. I could lose some bf in place of muscle. I just don't want to bulk up and look fat before gaining muscle. Especially in such a short. Of time. I had a great booty before losing weight even if it was mostly fat.
  • Strong curves? Where do i find that program?
  • Also you can get super bitchy, shaky weak, lightheaded...
  • Side effects are weightloss... albeit unhealthy weightloss because you aren't meeting your nutritional needs. Your weightloss may be slowed if "starvation mode" is a real thing. I am undecided about this theory.
  • I recently hit goal. I am keeping up the exercise, and this week I am not logging just because I am totally burned out on it. I will keep monitoring things though as bikini season is still a few months away. I want to keep the weight off. So I am in monitor and maintain mode which may mean a week or two of restricting…
  • You are over thinking it. Most of us have "cheat" meals once a week and still lose. You are consistently lower than your goal, so one meal is not going to kill you. Think of it as a weekly goal, instead of a daily thing. You are way under for your weekly calories, so even one meal is not going to make you gain weight. It…
  • It depends on your shape.... I am a pear, so I hang onto the fat around my thighs and butt, and lose my boobs first. :-(
  • You are most likely a pear shape, and may never be happy with that shape. I am a pear as well, I have practically zero breasts, but my abs rock, but I am also cursed with bigger thighs. I just attribute it to a runners build. I am built to run! ;-) Heavy lifting may help, but I do not have a gym membership nor a set of…
  • The "poor" get food supplement (Food stamps, wic etc.) It is the lower middle class that cut out more expensive foods. Avocado are near $1.00 each. Those are luxury items for most lower middle class... A bag of mandarin oranges are $5.00, and so they are bought in limited quantities. Healthy eating is not as cheap, as…
  • Try it one more time since it updated, but if it is not fixed, you might want to try Map my run, or runtastic or the Nike app. Good luck!
  • You may initially have an increase in weight when you start eating at maintenance because your glycogen stores will replenish and that makes up on average about 5lbs of body weight. My initial goal was 119 lbs, but I moved it down to 114 to make up for this. Will be hitting that goal in the next week or two, and I am not…
  • ^^^ This!!! I am a 5'4" 115 lb girl and eat 1410 cals per day to lose weight, and 1600 to maintain! Guys need a lot more. I do not know how active you are, I briefly looked at your diary and didn't see exercise, which is fine, but that just means you have way under estimated your activity level, so your maintenance…
  • I am 5'4 and 115 lbs, so I if people actually told me I was "too skinny", I might be offended too. I think most adults have lost perspective on healthy weight as most of the population is obese and has gotten used to seeing overweight people. There is a difference between fit and healthy and the too skinny cancer…
  • So glad I found this thread... I just measured for a bra today. I knew I needed a 32" band, but had no idea that I am now an AA cup!!! Haven't been this size since high school, and was hoping to retain a little from being so maternal and breastfeeding 5 kids! UHG!!! I wanna cry! I have considered augmentation, however, the…
  • I may be out of the norm, but I think of weight loss and fitness as something I want to maintain, so I eat anything I want but I eat it in MODERATION! I also make sure to keep within my calorie goals. So a binge for me would be eating more than a serving size of something, but only if it put me over my day's calories. I…
  • This is exactly what I would have suggested! Works great!
  • We are lazy by nature, and holding yourself accountable works. You have proven that to yourself. It has gotten me where I am too. Even though I hate logging every little thing that goes in my mouth, it has made me think more than once if it is really worth it! The days that I go over, logging it helps to motivate me to get…
  • I am close to goal weight, but past my original goal weight of 120. Once I got close to 120, I realized I wasn't where I wanted to be, so I found some images of bf%. I picked an ideal image for me. What I find attractive for my body shape, it turns out for me, I will feel best at 17-18% bf. I am at 20% right now. So just…
  • The first week is easy as everyone loses a bunch the first week, and then after that they get discouraged. It really does suck that weight loss is not that easy, but neither is weight gain. It doesn't go on that fast, it won't come off very fast either. Some people will tell you not to weigh very often. But that did not…
  • try drinking from a straw, as well as drink before you eat, and then again after you eat. I have a 24 oz water bottle that I take everywhere. I change it up with different flavors, but having water to sip on helps stop the urge to snack, as well as hydrates your whole body. If I don't drink at least 80 oz of water a day,…
  • Damn you guys are intense! I just saw this thread and I think it is awesome, but there is no way I can run that much/often yet!!! Off to look at a less intense running challenge for Feb. But wanted to stop by and cheer you all on! Way to go!
  • I'll send you a request.
  • Are you experiencing headaches, muscle weakness, shakiness, and irritability? I would be!!! Ouch, 1200 calories is way low. MFP will help you with your settings. You log what you eat, and your exercise, and eat back about 1/2 of the calories mfp calculates. I don't know if you are sedentary or lightly active during the…
  • That has to be incredibly frustrating and demotivating. What have you tried to improve your pace? Do you do intervals during your runs? If so, how long are your intervals, and what speeds?
  • Agreed!!! It is nasty and because I am cheap, I have forced myself to finish it. I have to mix with bananas to be able to tolerate the taste!
  • I am looking for similar as my 9 year old has suffered from Failure to Thrive for some time, and I am supposed to keep track of his food intake. It would be easier if I could do it here, or another program that I can have on my phone.
  • Thanks for confirming my user id! :-)
  • Stephen, can you confirm my user ID for me?
  • Me too. I need more friends. I just added you, but I have no clue what my user name is. Chantels1 I think, but I can't find it on my app now.
  • Fitness is not indicated by a number on a scale! It is determined by how you look and feel. If you are still unhappy, make healthy changes. Muscles is denser, so you will weigh more and be skinnier. You could work on strength training to build muscle. Then if you are still unhappy with the fat% then you can cut more. You…
