Such a fantastic feeling! Great accomplishment.

I am banded, 8 months out, and I drink normally.

Don't wait till tomorrow to start! So you may not get everything right on the first day, but at least start by making one change in your behavior. For example, eat breakfast if you don't normally, drink some water instead of soda, don't go back for seconds, add some exercise, take the stairs, just do something, anything…

This is really important--if you don't already, start weighing and measuring all your portions, do not try to "eyeball" them!!! I bought a bunch of 1/2 cup or smaller storage containers to use when packing my lunches. It makes measuring much easier. Also agree with everything else, the more habits you can establish prior…

I felt this way yesterday in my class. I'm really tall and not very graceful and when I got a glimpse of myself in the mirror I had a vision of what Herman Munster would look like if he were doing Zumba.

340 days and 98 pounds gone--Hoping to hit 100 or more by my one year mark!

My multivitamin followed closely by Weight Watchers - Giant Latte Ice Cream bars. Don't be a hater--it's working!!!!

^^This--Having to do some sort of shower limbo to get your head under the water to wash your hair.

I was also very successful losing prior to surgery and had the same questions asked of me. My goal for the surgery though was not to lose the weight but as a tool to help me keep it off for the long haul. I've lost weight numerous times in my life only to gain it back with more, I knew that the WLS was going to be the only…

My dog ate my W-2 form one year while I was working on our taxes.

My favorite place for smells used to be a spot at the mall right between Wilson's Leather and a coffee shop.

Go to the pet department at Walmart, find the biggest bag of dog food they carry, throw it over your shoulder and walk around the store for a while and then put it down and walk around the store again! Then come back and tell us you don't have a reason to celebrate 37 pounds gone! Honey, celebrate every pound gone, every…

Welcome! San Antonio too!! I'm not a native but like the saying goes......."I got here as fast as I could!!" Can't imaging living any where else.

My office chair is fine, but I have problems riding in the car. My butt starts to get numb after about 2 hrs of driving/riding. Never a problem with that before weight loss!

Weight Watchers Giant Latte Bars!

Relish your accomplishments like losing the soda but don't punish yourself for what you might be lacking. We all have our issues to deal with so none of us is perfect. This journey is about better choices, if you feel that you are making the best choices you can, given your circumstances, then you have no reason to be…

You sound like everything is quite normal. You will be able to get in more fluids as the days progress. Just keep drinking as much water as you can get in, stay hydrated and keep walking. Everyday gets better!!
-
Wow, you have done phenomenal! The Skook is not the easiest place to get healthy, too many distractions!!! I should know, I live in Texas now, but was born and raised in Frackville--!!

From the very beginning I've had deep rumblings that sound like something is trying to escape from by belly. I call it The Kraken, Sometimes it comes out as a burp, but sometimes it just rumbles away.

When I first start to lose weight my pants get longer!

My MFP goal right now is around 1350. I try to stay near or just below that number and usually find that I'm not hungry and have plenty of energy.

Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs!

I'm a "big girl" too and I agree with everyone else.....increase your protein intake, drink your water and eat small quantities (of protein) throughout the day to keep your hunger at bay.

I didn't tell anyone other than a few close friends and family what I was planning before surgery, but during the pre-surgery phase I managed to lose 40 pounds so everyone saw that I was already losing. I told my boss and work collegues that I was having surgery but didn't say for what. They sent me a gift card from Texas…

To be fitter at 50 than I was at 30!

This is the start of our office's annual feeding frenzy which will last through the end of September. Today, breakfast tacos, yesterday some sort of quiche and pizza and of course the big jar of candy sitting on the filing cabinet. It's going to be a loong two months.

Congratulations on your great decision! I also started smoking at 13 and quit when I was 33. 20 years as a smoker and now going on 16 years as a non-smoker. I know that I'm healthier today because of the decision I made to quit back then. You will feel the same way someday!

I want to be old someday!

Unfortunately we are not all "off the rack" people. Sounds to me like you need to find a good tailor!

There are several WLS and lapband specific groups. Lots of really good support there!
