I've been cooking with my slow cooker for over 20 years. I've never thawed my meat before putting it in the slow cooker and never had any problems. I just put the meat, straight from the freezer, in the bottom of the pot and add the rest of the ingredients on top, plug it in and go. That evening I have a wonderful meal…

BUMP...Yummy!

I would imagine there are plenty of unhealthy skinny people out there too. I know plenty of skinny people with atrocious eating and exercise habits.

I weigh in on Friday morning after I get out of bed. That way I know what I have to work with for the weekend, my most vunerable time. If I've lost that inspires me to not blow it. If I've gained (or not lost) then I know I have to be more careful over the weekend. Keeps me honest!

HaHaHa I love this site sometimes...

It usually means you're saving the post for future reference. It's an acromym for something but I can't remember what.

Yummy!!!!!

I think it depends on how big you are to begin with. I was a 40D and after I lost the first 30lbs I was a 38C. :ohwell: A friend of mine is a 32C and lost the same amount of weight-no change. I still feel pretty well endowed but I would have rather lost those pounds in other areas (waist, butt, hips Lol)

That's me. I never think of myself as overweight till I look at pictures of myself. Can't deny it then. No wonder I hate having my picture taken :blushing: I knew I was overweight but I never felt "fat". I know I'm still overweight but I'm moving in the right direction. It's a choice each day. Some days I just make better…

You're right. I love the support we get here. It's one of the things that really attracted me to the site. My husband laughs at me because I'm not much of a Facebook or Twitter person. Never saw the appeal. But I post frequently on this site. Everyone is very supportive. We have a few rants but not too much. Everyone is in…

I discovered mashed cauliflower a while ago and was amazed at how much it can taste like mashed potatoes if made right. Yummy! Gives me my starch fix. Thanks for all the great ideas. My husband will be happy to have more variety too.

Uggggh...12 hour night shifts. I used to work that and it about killed me. I work full time nights but only 8 hour shifts. I'm able to manage my personal life and work life better that way. I don't feel so sleep deprived. I'm on a 1200 calorie diet. The way I work it is to split my calories up into "shifts". I have…

I wouldn't say I plan a cheat day but I don't stress when I have a day where I go off the rails, so to speak. I figure it's a lifestyle change and if I mess up one day I can choose to compensate on another day or exercise it off. Or just accept I had a bad day and move on. Sometimes it depends on what's happening in my…

I've made these several times in the past. It's a recipe from the Hungry Girl website. It tastes just like a very dense chocolate cupcake. No pumpkin flavor at all. Just add the can of pumpkin, no oil, eggs or water. The batter will be very, very thick but they taste wonderful. I love them!!!! I've always gotten 24 regular…

I plan to make this this weekend. I was going to work out the calories for myself by weighing the whole bag of cake mixes (both Angel food and Chocolate!) and then weighing out 3Tbs and calculating from there. Just an idea. I'll let you know what it works out to be.

I tried them for the first time tonight. I made a Hungry Girl Spaghetti Pie. It was really good. I didn't notice the rubbery texture that others have mentioned at all. Maybe because it was encased in so many other textures and flavors. I've also heard if you dry them out in the oven a bit before you use them they will…

One of my favorite holiday candies...so easy! That and my buckeye recipe are always in demand! Oh the weight gain....

Never heard of the dry fry method. I've been a little afraid to try these. I've heard they are slimy and I HATE slimy. If they were dried out though they could be good. Do you rehydrate them before you use them?

I make Salsa Chicken all the time. My family loves it! 2-3 chicken breasts 1 large jar salsa 1 can black beans 2 cups frozen corn Let it cook for 4-6 hours on low. Shred the chicken and serve over rice or pasta. Or in a tortilla shell. It's wonderful!

I've got tons of them. I love my crock pot! Here are some of my favorites. I also make a lot of soup and stews during the cold months. Yummy!!!
