Just tried this and it was wonderful! Even at 110 calories, it is a very satisfying dessert with very few calories compared to other cakes. Thanks for sharing!

why does everyone keep typing "bump"?
Sounds good, did anyone try it in the oven yet, instead of the microwave?
"bump" is usually done to put the thread at the top of the list again so more people can see it, otherwise it will get lost!0 -
Has anyone tried this yet? I see everybody bumbed it up???0

I was wondering what mixes you were using? I tried this yesterday and my calorie count per cake was 120. I used Angel Food Cake mix and a Double Chocolate box cake mix.0

Def going to try this0

Was thinking of this over the weekend. You could use a diet soda instead of water for more flavor. I was thinking of melting a couple of dark chocolate chips to put in the center - or a small bit of Hershey sugar free chocolate syrup - almost a molten cake...?!?0

What a great idea---definitely trying it out!0

Thank you so much for the recipe!
I have my mixture consisting of betty crocker angel food cake mix and duncan hines butter fudge cake mix. I added it to my recipe list and geusstimated on the servings at 30, it probably makes more, but I'm going to try and keep a running count on how many cakes I am able to make. With a serving set at 30 the cake comes out to about 128 in calories and it is delicious! I was satisfied with just the cake itself, like a very airy brownie. I am looking forward to adding fruit or a topping to it as well.
Thanks again!

Gotta try this!!3, 2, 1 Cake
These individual little cakes are amazing and ready to eat in one minute! They are perfect for whenever you feel like a treat without all the fat and calories that cake can have. Genius idea!
Servings: 1
Ingredients:
1 box Angel Food Cake Mix
1 box Cake Mix - Any Flavor
2 Tbsp Water
Directions:
In a ziploc bag, combine the two cake mixes together and mix well. For each individual cake serving, take out 3 Tablespoons of the cake mix combination and mix it with 2 Tablespoons of water in a small microwave-safe container. Microwave on high for 1 minute, and you have your own instant individual little cake! Keep remaining cake mixture stored in the ziploc bag and use whenever you feel like a treat! You can top each cake with a dollop of fat free whipped topping and/or some fresh fruit.
Helpful Tips:
This recipe is called 3, 2, 1 Cake because all you need to remember is "3 tablespoons mix, 2 tablespoons water, 1 minute in the microwave!" Try various flavors of cake mix like carrot, red velvet, pineapple, lemon, orange, etc. Just remember that one of the mixes has to be the angel food mix; the other is your choice. The flavor possibilities are endless!

i'm tryng to wrap my mind around this...i looked up duncan hines angel food cake and duncan hines red velvet cake mix. combined they come to 3840 calories. So how is one to know how many 3 TBL servings are in each box of cake mix in order to determine if they are really 42 calories besides buying a box of mix and sitting down and scooping out TBL after TBL to figure it out...? sounds too good to be true and i'm not willing to put it in my mouth until i can calculate the calories for myself....can anyone help?
I plan to make this this weekend. I was going to work out the calories for myself by weighing the whole bag of cake mixes (both Angel food and Chocolate!) and then weighing out 3Tbs and calculating from there. Just an idea. I'll let you know what it works out to be.0 -
I made this today and it was DELICIOUS! Thanks for sharing!0
