I am in no way qualified to help you as I have almost zero experience with anorexia. I have however been an overeater for many years. I recall a long time ago, I was wanting to learn to eat intuitively and someone on these boards had mentioned the following (do not remember exact words) Intuitive eating works for people…

The only time I have EVER burnt 1000 calories was when I was obese and first started working out. I think I was like 230lbs (5'7) and incredibly out of shape. I think I was doing Turbo Jam for a little over an hour... I have never been able to accomplish a 1000 calorie burn since.

Aww...those nuggets are pretty damn good! :D High protein too! Just log it and proceed.

Absolutely amazing! :D It can be hard to look at past photos, thought always remember that the girl in the 1st picture had a lot of courage and strength! Milkshakes...yikes. I agree!!

My goodness...I think over the last 3.5 years, the 1st thing I found interesting was my shoulders (though slow...still always nice to see!) My thighs shrinking was also interesting. I think my favourite, the slowest, but the most meaningful to me is my lower belly. The feeling of my spare tire deflating has been wonderful…

I have lost 105lbs. Started at 250lbs and down to 145lbs. My stomach is by no means perfect. I have some stretch marks happening, but my god - the loose skin is not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be! I was imagining having a lot after being over weight all of my life. Luckily, my stomach bounced back nicely. I…

Don't do it. I kind of rolled my eyes just reading this.

Ahhh this is a very good technique! I am a very fast consumer of food, so often while everyone else is eating - I am already done. If I slowed right down...and didnt finish until everyone else is on dessert..usually seconds wouldn't be offered. Also using water to fill in that time would be excellent!

When you grab a plate, make sure you spread out the food as much as possible to fill the plate (mash potatoes? spread them out, salad, meat, etc.) This makes it look like a lot of food, without literally "piling it on" your plate. Another technique I use is the 1st round, I grab a little bit of food, then I will go up…

Believe it or not, violence does not teach someone respect (if that was what you were implying). Could you approach your manager about this?! What exactly is this guy interning for? I sure hope he will not be working with clients if he has that horrible attitude towards people who have weight to lose. I honestly, would…

Leslie Sansone is excellent for some cardio and anyone that has mobility can do her exercises! Check her out on youtube, her home page or you can typically find her DVDs for cheap at Walmart (maybe $9?). She incorporates resistance bands, which would be good for beginner use.

Good for you! I find losing weight to be very similar to staying away from drugs and alcohol - you will quickly find out who your true friends are! Ultimately - you have to do it for you, come hell or high water and regardless of what others think of you (or if they support you or not!)

Typically I would agree, except in this case - the person is OPs mom. Mom should care enough about her daughters health and wellness to make the slight adjustment to her kitchen to help out her own child.

It is no ones business, and I find quite offensive when someone brings up my weight without me asking for their opinion specifically. In case you are wondering if you are reaching that point, I would designate 1 or 2 people that you trust 100% and that you believe they would give you the honest truth regardless of how they…

5 days is not a plateau. Sorry to be the one to break it to you.

I am finding myself to be in the same situation. As mentioned by usmcmp - i try to find things that are more filling as I am reaching goal. But yeah, I get it. I basically have stopped exercising at this point just so I can stay on track with my calories. As soon as I exercise, despite increasing my caloric intake, I am…

I think for me, it was about living out my 20's the best that I can be. I dont want to look back when I am 50 and think "damn I sure wish I started when I was younger." As many people on MFP have shared similar thoughts, to me - get it done while your young! I also believe that if you do not take care of yourself, before…

I know I have been doing this lately, especially since hitting my weight loss goal - I kind of just let things slide. Luckily, as I have continued to weigh myself daily, I have not gained any weight back...I find the motivation is just not there! Some things I find helpful to get me back on track 1 - Get a new routine. Try…

Great Job! :D What a wonderful milestone!

Ugh. I am exactly here. OP put this exactly how I have been feeling, which is scary! It is like I am constantly afraid of gaining weight, but at the same time - I do not want to keep losing either (and if I had to pick one...I would rather lose more lbs than start gaining!) I find it mentally and emotionally exhausting. I…

OMG I need this so bad! I hope I can join in...Basically my numbers are Me: 1* LNS: 5

Your expectations are way too high! You literally want his *kitten* to smell like roses? Poor guy. :(

HIGH volume of Vit C. Like 2500mg x2 in a day. Or... 30g of almonds per day for 5 days should get things moving.

I have told everyone how much I weigh from the very beginning. I was incredibly open about it and was always willing to share how much I had loss. Then I reached my goal weight...and that is when I regretted ever being so open about it. I had 1 co-worker in particular make comments, often asking me about my weight. She…

It is hard to say, considering there is a medical situation. Typically, of course 800 calories is waaaaay too low. It is also unrealistic to expect someone to sustain long-term weight loss with that sort of intake. That is more "we need your weight down immediately to get this surgery done immediately" type of calorie…

I have not been tracking over the last month or so...and when I start to track, I just stop because I end up having a wicked binge by the evening. Typically - I do really good during the day, then after supper I just can not stop eating. Oddly enough, I am actually losing weight though. Weight went up to 148lbs, and now…
